Profile

WIP. Open to suggestions!

He lives in a digital world, code name Inernet, which exists in cyberspace. The deep web is the section of the internet that is not indexed by web crawlers. The dark web is a subsegment of the deep web that can be accessed only with special tools. In this universe the majority of the world is the is the furface web, which is the surface of the planet. The deep web is physically a layer below the surface web, and is accessed via Login Portals on the surface web, portals that physically transfer poeple to their coresponding privatized portion of the deep web. The deep web is on average more secure and safe than the surface web, which varies greatly in quality, though still has its dangers. People spend more of their time in the deep web than the surface web on average. The dark web is so deep in the deep web that it is pitch black and completely inaccessible to most of the universes residents, requiring specialized hardware and software to access, though this may actually be a benefit to the populous at large, as the dark web is the most dangerous place in the internet, though not without legitimate uses. What else exists in cyberspace besides the internet?

Modes

The color of his fur patterns portrays which mode he is in. He starts with only "Light Mode" available, gaining "Dark Mode" when he downloads data from the dark web. He can then switch between the two at will which affects his available abilities and personality. Modern color theory uses either the RGB additive color model or the CMY subtractive color model, and in these, the complementary pairs are red–cyan, green–magenta, and blue–yellow. Complementary colors are pairs of colors which, when combined or mixed, cancel each other out (lose hue) by producing a grayscale color like white or black. When placed next to each other, complimentary colors create the strongest contrast for those two colors. Complementary colors may also be called "opposite colors", and are therefore quite polar. His color scheme of greyscale with red and cyan accents matches the science of color theory nicely. The RGB addative color model uses combinations of red, green, and blue light against a black background to make the colors seen on a computer monitor or television screen, thus also fitting the cyber setting.
Light Mode
Innocent but not naive. Quiet. TBD
Dark Mode
Dark mode has the same core personality traits, values, and ideals as Light Mode, but expresses itself differently. Dark mode is an edgy boi, not afraid of being cringe. It is more assertive, confident, and dominant. Sassy and sarcastic, it enjoys dark humor.

Occular Abilities

His heterochromia isn't just for looks, but also for looking! His occular abilities are always active in either mode once obtained. He starts with one ability unique to each eye and a third derived from the combination of his two eyes. Additional abilities are added via story progression.
Blue Eye (Right):
TBN - Allows him to... TBD.
Black Light Vision - Allows him to see the typically invisible dark web via Fluorescence without the use of worn hardware. Unlocked with Dark Mode.
Red Eye (Left):
Infrared Imaging - Allows him to detect infrared radiation. This results in thermal vision since infrared emissions from a body are directly related to their temperature: hotter objects emit more energy in the infrared spectrum than colder ones.
Heat Map - Allows him create and view heat maps of data he reads as he reads it. A heat map is a 2-dimensional data visualization technique that represents the magnitude of individual values within a dataset as a color. Unlock TBD.
Red Eye + Blue Eye
Anaglyph Analysis - Allows him to see anaglyph stereoscopic images in 3D, his eyes serving as the iconic Red-Cyan 3D glasses.
Polar-Eyes - Allows him to see polarized stereoscopic images id 3D. Polarize: verb, physics - to restrict the vibrations of (a transverse wave, especially light) wholly or partially to one direction. Which eye sees which orientation of light? Unlock TBD.

Abilities

UV Ray - An antivirus attack. In order for it to be effective the rays need to be at the correct wavelengths for the target virus, typically between 200 and 300 nm, with 260 being most common. Stronger viruses require a higher dosage (UV light intensity x contact time) to kill. Line of sight is required.
