Arete is calm and collected, never one to get riled up unless he’s pushed to his breaking point. If he is then it’s not a fun time for either parties. However that rarely happens, so for the most part Arete is an easy person to hang around with. Having a strong sense of justice he cannot tolerate any sort of corruption. He’d never ignore someone in trouble or be involved in some sort of coup. Instead, Arete would want to end things peacefully - without a shred of violence. That doesn’t mean he can’t defend himself; he’s trained his body to be at peak physical performance and knows a plethora of combat techniques. Also his aversion to fighting doesn’t come from naivety, he knows very well that the world is a dangerous place. Arete may seem a bit overly cautious but a lot of the time his discretion serves him well.

Since he has amnesia Arete only remembers glimpses of his past, but most of it is shrouded in a thick haze. Sometimes he garners a bit of information from dreams, though if he doesn't write it down it's quickly forgotten. He keeps a small journal filled with everything he remembered and has it hidden in a very secure location. Arete doesn't like about his past; if he is prompted he will give out small tidbits of his culture to those he trusts, like he boyfriend Fletcher.
