Lewis

Rai's second Mother(in this world the term "Mother" is a gender neutral term for those assigned to care for children), after they were taken away from the first one. 

He's male and in his 30s. He's pale, freckly, and has unkempt ginger hair. His eyes are a dark bluey grey. He constantly looks tired  and a little unkempt. Messy hair, fiveoclock shadow, eye-bags, always drinking coffee. But he also tends to look gently cherry underneath the tired.

Just like all the humans in this world, he wears a grey skin-tight jumpsuit(looks a lot like a diving suit) with accessories in his assigned color, which is a deep purple. He almost always has an apron with lots of pockets, and often has a bag of some sort too. 

He has always loved kids and he was so excited to become a mother. He has pretty mixed feelings if you ask him now, though. Raising so many kids is exhuasting, even if it is rewarding in the end. He's very playful, often joining games with the kids, and just comes off as so kind and friendly. He jokes around a lot and is absolutely full of dad jokes. He does know when to put his foot down and act the part of the parent when he needs to, though. He schedules one on one time with each of his kids to just hang out and get to know them individually.

His birth parents gifted him a guitar when he was pretty little and he taught himself how to play. Now he has nightly little music sessions with his kids. They all either sing or play their own instruments and they often improvise or write their own songs, as well as singing well known ones.

He is ace heteromantic but that doesn't ever come up in the story, it's just what I picture him to be lol
