Physical Description

Rachel is shorter than the average cat, with thin fur and a pink bow around her neck. Her pelt is dark gray, with darker streaks that lead to her tail tip. Her eyes are honey yellow. She has no front claws.

Scars / Injuries

• No front claws (surgically declawed).
• A small scar on the dorsal of her left forepaw (clawed by a squirrel).
• A messy scar under the armpit of her right forearm (bit by a squirrel).

Backstory

Early Life

Born to a sweet queen many towns away, Rachel was adopted by her owners at the age of 4 moons. Though she has little recollection of her family, she can remember having many littermates, and finding solace in the presence of others.

Adolescence

Shortly after being adopted, her owners took her to the vet and had her declawed. Initially, there was no problem to this other than the aggravating pain, but when her housefolk eventually started letting her outside, she realized that she couldn’t fight or hunt like other cats, and the situation grew even worse when she realized she was being periodically locked out of her home.

Adulthood

In one period of time where she was locked out, she strayed into the forest. A “forest cat” and his patrol found her, immediately attacking and chasing her out, clawing her lightly enough to not leave physical scars. She realized from that point onward that the woods were off limits, and simply remained, hungry and alone, in the town.

On a separate night where she was locked outside, Rachel stumbled across a stranger. The cat called themself a “wanderer”, and offered to take her to explore the world. She declined, and the stranger kindly showed her how to climb trees and explore safely from the prying eyes of the forest cat before leaving a few days later…

Rachel and Frecklesky met on one of Rachel's excursions. From that point onward, Rachel had a keen interest in meeting the warrior again, for reasons she couldn't quite explain herself.

In another "chance" encounter, the two agree to meet each other on a nightly basis, and their secret meetings continued on for many moons. As time moved on, Rachel found herself developing feelings for the tall warrior, but she's too afraid to ask if they're mutual...
