Robin Cumpotino

Robin Cumpotino is a ballet aficionado at first glance. She has an extremely flexible body and can do almost any human movement possible. She makes elaborate and seemingly impossible dance moves in her pink leotard. 

But ballet only hides her true colors. Robin is the daughter of Don Frank Cumpotino of the Cumpotino crime family and his wife Sandra. Robin has been involved in her family’s criminal enterprise since she became a made person at the age of 17, when her own father carried out a typical mafia initiation ritual on her. She is now a caporegime in the family. The mafia coached her into taking ballet classes for much of her life, believing it would train her body for combat and smuggling without raising suspicion. She has been in many fights and came very close to death a few times.

The Cumpotino mafia has been involved in forbidden substances, gambling, scamming civilians, and racketeering since its inception in the 1910s. The mob is semi-decentralized. Although they have a don, the caporegimes each have almost the same amount of authority. The Cumpotinos have their home base in Breezewood, Pennsylvania. Unfortunate civilians such as one trucker, Tauni Lamp, are occasionally caught up in their activities. 

The Cumpotinos’ biggest enemies are the Lodkinovs, a Russian crime family with Russian expansionist and pro-life views. They wear tan or brown clothing. Robin once personally confronted and killed a made man of the Lodkinovs in an incident at the ”wall of death” on MD-135 in Bloomington, Maryland.

Robin has a soft spot for ballet and animals. She likes to play with puppies when she gets any chance. But she also has no problem emptying a clip into a police dog. Despite her ballet skills, Robin is a fierce fighter in her family. She carries a Warthog 12, a single-shot 12-gauge shotgun also compatible with the .729 Atlas armor-piercing sabot round, and also a 9mm Glock 17 pistol in her leotard. She also owns several other larger weapons, including a 20mm autocannon and a small assault rifle. She purposely trims her fingernails into a sharp shape in case of any incidents where she is caught without a weapon. Robin is also capable of karate chopping weaker types of wood and watching Titanic without crying. Robin is fiercely loyal to the family. If cornered by police, she would rather kill as many officers and civilians and cause as much damage as possible before she is killed; rather than be taken in alive.

 She has also come to use different ballet titles and terms as code words to communicate with her soldiers and associates. For example, “Swan Lake” may mean an incoming shipment of drugs.
