Layne is a very laid back, go with the flow type of squid. He's incredibly perceptive and insightful, often being the person friends go to when they need an opinion or help with a problem. He's a playful flirt and enjoys banter and teasing others for the fun of it. His observancy makes him a formidable charger user on the turf, he mains e-liter and goo tuber.

- Good friends with Kelby and is unconsciously crushing on him. Doesn't realise Kelbs likes him more then a friend

- The kinda guy who picks food off other peoples plates

- Not a fan of squid parties, very serious and aggressive when playing turf + ranked

- His favourite food is spicy crab tacos

- Has a pet clown nudibranch
