Biography

Even if you do not awaken as a magic user, that doesn't necessarily make you incapable of magic. A form of "beginner" magic exists, known as Artificing. Artificiers supplement their own natural lack of magical abilities by using artifacts created by others, and ritualistic arts created by awakened enchanters. As it stands, there is a very powerful art used for summoning, binding, dealing with, and banishing demons. This branch of artificing known as demonology began as the creation of one enchanter, and was then added on to by further more enchanters until thee very art of demonology became a powerful nexus of generational and ancient magic that permeates all of reality. And anyone aware of these rules can potentially tap into this magic and use its power.

Kevin, at a young age, was always very jealous of magic users who held power far beyond his own, and vowed that one day he'd awaken as a magic user. He'd spend hours in his room focusing on small objects, trying to control them telekinetically. He poured through tomes that detailed awakenings of famous magic users and tried to recreate them. Eventually, he settled on trying to use the art of Demonology to his ends. He summoned demons for all sorts of reasons, from running errands, to powering his home, to even supplying him with magically-created HRT. In a sense, he was hoping that by risking his life with such a dangerous craft, he'd eventually be backed into a corner and awaken. He did certainly have a near death experience or two, including one time when he was temporarily possessed by a demon, which is why he has horns and red eyes.

One fateful day, however, he tried to summon a foocubus, specifically aiming for a relatively weak one. Instead, he got a demon who was only 1/4 foocubus, and far more powerful than he was expecting. This demon, known as Amvira, was quite surprised to find herself on Earth, but took no hesitation in easily breaking Kevin's salt circles, and brushing off his futile attempts at banishment. Amvira, quite pissed but not willing to start anything and risk the new oppurtunity she received, stole all of Kevin's soda and started a new life for herself.

This didn't end up dissuading Kevin, who continued to work ever harder on his craft over the next 3 years, whereupon Amvira returned, feeling nostalgic for the day she was summoned. She thanked Kevin (by buying him a 12 pack of Bup) and even managed to help Kevin, after so many years, finally awaken as a magic user, saving him from self-destruction.
