Xipil Sage is a part of the widely known alien race called Gallifreyans. Gallifreyans are outwardly indistiguishable from humans, although they bare a resemblance to humans and humanoids, they have a variety of biological differences that set them apart. An example of this is that they have two hearts rather than the one the humans have, another example of this is the eye. While the human eye was just a dish of light-sensitive cells, leaving the brain to do all of the processing, the Time Lord retina was capable of thinking on its own. As a result, on Gallifrey, the retina replaced fingers as the main method of communicating with machines. Gallifreyans were, on the whole, extremely tough and resilient. An average Gallifreyan was superior to a human at their peak. Gallifreyans could survive some falls which would shatter the bones of humans. There is a wide variety of things that Gallifreyans are capable of due to their biology as well as their own mental capacity, a vast majority of them being incredibly intelligent.

Xipil has no memories of Gallifrey other than the Time War and how it ended, most if not all memories of the planet had been wiped hundreds of years ago as if to hide what might have happened whilst she was there. For hundreds of years she's adventured throughout the universe in her TARDIS inadvertently saving species and planets from danger as well as accidentally dooming others, she would be lying if she said she didn't remember the feeling of knowing she could have saved entire races if she just hadn't messed up. It's a feeling that weighs on your hearts. She's travelled in solitude for so many years, it's better for everyone if she has a companion to help guide her to the right path. Xipil has a tendency to do before she thinks and it's often made things worse rather than fixing it, having a companion around has helped more than she'd like to admit. Stopping her from doing something she'll regret for the rest of her lives. Nowadays Xipil travels with the Captain of the Nova Ship, Mozelle Prism, travelling to wondrous planets and exploring the habitats, saving people along the way.
