Lightningfall is a WindClan warrior and the daughter of Clovernose and Thunderjolt. She was born in their second litter alongside Mothkit and Sootkit. She is apprenticed to Jaystreak and eventually earns her warrior name, Lightningfall.
Lightningfall is a sleek white she-cat with a yellow stripe down her spine, yellow eyes.

Lightningfall is energetic, fiery, and as a kit and apprentice she enjoys playing and wrestling. She can be snappy at times and quick to point out mistakes.
As a warrior, she grows more responsible, friendly, and bright spirited.

Leopardthorn is Lightningfall's older sister. Lightningfall has no knowledge of her.
Mothshadow is Lightningfall's brother. As Mothshadow's obsession with Gingerfrost grew, he became very distant with his family and hardly cares for them. On one occassion she guarded the medicine den, unaware she was protecting it from her own brother.
Sootheart is Lightningfall's brother. Unlike with Mothshadow, she and Sootheart are still very close.
Budheart is Lightningfall's mate.

Kithood
Lightningkit is born to Clovernose and Thunderjolt alongside her siblings, Mothkit and Sootkit. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 2)
Lightningkit is playing hide and seek with the other kits and chooses to hide behind Clovernose. Sootkit joins her. When Glowkit finds them, Lightningkit complains about him not hiding elsewhere, and Sootkit apologizes. When Duskkit is found hiding outside the den, Lightningkit points out he cheated by breaking the rules. She and Sootkit wrestle playfully. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 2)
Lightningkit is amused that Sootkit doesn't like play fighting, pointing out he'll be doing it a lot as an apprentice. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 2)
Apprentice
Lightningpaw is apprenticed and receives Jaystreak as her mentor. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 2)
Eaglefeather sends Blazinglight, Clovernose, Jaystreak and Lightningpaw on a hunting patrol. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 6)
Lightningpaw excitedly asks Foggypaw if he wants to see a battle move Jaystreak showed her. He brightly says yes, and yelps in surprise as she tackles him, and they laugh as they play fight. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 10)
At the gathering, Glowpaw and Lightningpaw are excitedly conversing with Twinepaw and Flowerpaw. Lightningpaw boasts that she's going to be the best hunter in WindClan, and she caught a huge rabbit the other day. Twinepaw is impressed. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 11)
Warrior
She earns her warrior name, Lightningfall, and is very happy about it. Gingerpaw congratulates her, and she's excited to hear he'll be getting his full name soon too. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 18)
Lightningfall is sharing a rabbit with Budheart, affection sparking between the two. Gingerfrost goes over and asks her to guard the medicine den tonight. She's embarrassed to be caught with Budheart, but agrees. She sits guard and sympathizes as Gingerfrost worries about Duskpaw. After Gingerfrost assures her he'll be awake to watch the den, she goes to sleep. Later when Clovernose is killed, Lightningfall and Thunderjolt retrieve her body. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 18)
Lightningfall argues that Duskpaw must be alive if there's no body or blood. Later at the gathering, she greets Jadewing. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 25)
After the battle against Rosemary, in the RiverClan camp, Creamheart applies a poultice to Lightningfall's bleeding leg. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 29)
Mother
Lightningfall becomes Budheart's mate and gives birth to their kits: Applekit, Meadowkit, and Whitekit. She's very happy about it and amused at how often Budheart rushes in anxiously checking on their health. She feels she isn't getting enough rest because of it, and Budheart is embarrassed as he says he'll try to pop in less so she can sleep. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 31)
- In the planning stages of Shadows of Blood, he would have been a warrior of ThunderClan. He is listed as the son of Thunderjolt and Moonwhisper, and the brother of Nightfeather.
