- Tortoiseshellfeather was originally the daughter of a cat named Duckfeather and Sorrelshine. Along with Oaktuft, Tinylark was also her sibling.
In the planning stages of Shadows of Blood, Tortoiseshellfeather would have been a warrior of ThunderClan, the mate of Emberleap, and the mother of Sootkit, Jaggedblaze, and Twistedstream - She was originally described as a dark brown and light brown patched cat with black muzzle, chin, paws, tail tip, and chest.
