To all things housed in her silence, Nature offers a violence.
Public Knowledge
Finnegan “Finn” Clarkson is the Ultimate Wood Carver, son to a family of local lumberjacks in the deep mountains of Canada. While more famously known for his connection to the Snowdrift Saint, he has maintained a very private existence from reporters searching out the “Saint”, hiding on his father’s mountain property.
Despite proving to be a very accomplished woodworker and carver, his carvings continue to be hard to come by for prospective collectors. Refusing to work by commission, the only way for one to get their hands on a Snowdrift Carving is by finding it along a wilderness trail, dusted in a layer of white snow.
As Clarkson puts it: “They are not for profit. Everything I make is for nature to reclaim.”
Despite being one of the most recently-titled Ultimates, he prefers to neglect any public duties given by his title to continue working for his father. If you have any interest in contacting Clarkson, you’ll have to send a letter to…
Personal Introduction
Your name is Finn Clarkson.
The weight of the axe is familiar in your hands. It was your father’s, and your father’s fathers; it served generations well, ingrained into your identity as deeply as the mountainside is. But even with the axe, you are a contradiction: A rapidly overflowing glass. The kind of man— the kind of boy— who waits at the door with foolish hopes of spring in the dead of winter. You are the type of boy to hope, but never the type of boy to fall.
Not for anyone, not for anything.
