Being a prince of one of the biggest nations is whatever... Claus wants to go out and drink instead! He's very bratty about upholding to his "princely duties" but jumps at the chance to be hailed as a prince and act all high and mighty in front of the common folk.
He doesn't get out much until he meets a certain boy who offers him a hand to hop the palace walls, Ernest! They often go out into the less wealthy neighborhoods that haven't had a chance to catch a glimpse of Claus' appearance and frequent bars. Ernest can't hold his liquor but the two become good friends nonetheless, though when that lightweight disappears for 8 days at a time routinely this prince begins to suspect something fishy!
