Summary

August is a very talkative man who has a humorous and goofy nature. August often cracks jokes or just runs his mouth at the wrong times. He owns a fat black cat that he'd commit war crimes for. August is loud and unrestrained, more so around friends though.

Despite coming off as an annoying clown, August does try his best to make everyone happy, especially the beloved people he feels close to. Doing anything and always asking what he can do to help those around him. Unfortunately, August is slow at social cues and needs boundaries to be set. August works as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician, aka ambulance driver) while going to college for animation. August also makes a living online as a horror artist and writer, often August finds inspiration for his artworks while transporting bodies. August's artworks focus mainly on unreality.

While having a hyper overly happy mentality, August is very emotionally and mentally unstable. Every day straining himself to be an entertainer, to the point he's in mental agony and just feels "tired". This was created from years of abuse from family and loved ones, resulting in August having self-destructive behavior, no sense of self-worth, trust issues, etc. August is attempting to heal and get on with life though he still feels like the frightened, helpless child he once was. He romanticizes the idea of himself dying, abuses substances, as well as subconsciously sexualizes himself to cope with his trauma. August desperately wants to be better but fears that by fixing his flaws he won't be loved anymore, or he'll go back to how he used to be.

History

August was the result of an unhappy marriage between his mother Carrol and his father Anthony. Carrol was a pick-me "punk" girl who got kicked out for rebelling against her parents in the suburbs, while Anthony was an extremely catholic welder who went in and out of juvie as a child and had 4 children with different mothers in his custody.

Both of his parents divorced when August was very little and placed into his mother's custody. Carrol wasn't exactly too happy with the idea of motherhood so mostly he was looked after by whatever man was his mother's boyfriend at the time. August's father was different and August existed as the golden child out of all his siblings on that side of the family.

His mother had a cat and so did his father, August really loves cats because both households have always had cats. He loved cats so much, August would constantly pester both parents for books on cats, and then would info dump everything he knew to anyone who would listen.

He had grown up in two separate environments both of which had abusive and domineering caregivers. August would be screamed at by his mother and called horrible things for doing the stuff normal toddlers/young children did and shown zero affection, while his father would show him non-stop affection but then scream at him for slightly messing up and instantly love bomb him afterward. This affected his views on love and believed getting mistreated was okay.

He really liked watching TV and vintage movies growing up, and was a youtube addict. August would watch the same movie or show over and over if he really enjoyed it, to the extent he fried more then a few discs. August started to draw a lot and loved getting compliments on his crappy doodles

As August grew so did his mother, she had started to rely on 5-year-old August for emotional support and treated him in a sense as a friend that she could control completely. Taking baths with him, invading his personal space, and venting to him.

When August responded with obvious discomfort Carrol would explode at him and call August a spoiled bitch, and then pointed out all the things she "does" for him i.e things like toys, clothes, and games he had.

It was slightly better with his father however, August was still mistreated. Mainly because at the time Anthony was going to medical school to become a nurse so when he wasn't neglecting August he was being an asshole. Like forcing August to go hunting with him, making August watch horror media, scaring August on the way to the bathroom at night, and then leaving August alone in shopping isles as "just a joke".

Though despite this August had just stayed to himself. Just watch youtube and dissociate into his fantasy world. He still loved his father and mother and looked at their actions through rose-colored glasses.

During the summer and Christmas seasons, August's dad had custody and that meant August could hang out with his siblings, which August had really enjoyed. He had 3 sisters(the oldest is Ivy, the second is Kara, and the third is Emily) and one brother (Jonathan). August was only close to Emily and Jon being called "the trio" by their cousins and other relatives. They had shared a bedroom and never really left each other's side.

August had also started getting sexually assaulted by his grandfather around Christmas time. He would have August sit on his lap and grope him, this was the same occurrence with his sisters. August would really hate it when people touched him and this infuriated his parents to no end. They would yell at August for being "weird" about the physical touch and how jumpy August was.

August did really look on the bright side though, he didn't know what was going on and August would try to make friends whenever he could. Basically, he just walked up to other kids and asked to be their friend, and would be super silly to make them laugh. August even then loved seeing others happy. He was picked on for being "annoying" because of how loud he was, but still August would try to be friends with anybody.

August was given a iPad for his 6th birthday.
