Niko
Kinu's very first foray into the world of chocobos. Niko was specially chosen and given to her by the Maelstrom, her grand company, upon special achievements, to further her work. The chocobo has been trained from birth for combat and can be seen taking his place alongside Kinu during battle.
Barley
Barley is a rare draught chocobo with brilliant, white tipped red feathers. During her journey through the green lands of Dravania, Kinu happened upon a small, orphaned chick of brilliant red and promptly took him under her wing. Little did she expect that he would surpass Niko and Pekopi in size -- perhaps even twice over!
