Born in Heywood, he grew up a very social life with neighborhood kids, though his home life was fairly busy as he helped take care of his mother. His father left him and his mother before she was even 3 months along, so for a long while it was just him and his mom. He didn't do much things a little should do like go to the park or play with toys, the only things he's done was do the work around the house and socialize with other kids around the streets. Even then he didn't socialize much with them, his mom was his main priority.

As he grew up into his teen years, he went to school for a short while before eventually dropping out, the stress of homelife and keeping up with the neighbor kids were starting to weigh on him and he couldn't stand the pressure. The group of kids he was with created their own small gang called the 'Radicals', they would steal from police and trash their spots or steal things from small stores. They are constantly on the run and X rolled with them, marking him as a target by the NCPD. He rolled with this gang for a while before they all disbanded and slowly they all fell to the darkness that is the pit of Night city. X however stayed safe, staying with his mom but eventually he moved out at the age of 20, he didn't know what he wanted to do in life so he did a lot of job hopping. He rarely had any friends as he didn't really like being around people too much and he has a fear that he'll lose his friends once again. Eventually, he then found himself in Kirks same booth, settling a close friends debt.

After almost being killed by the NCPD, he met with a couple other people who got screwed over as well. Their names were Jackie Welles and Venus Darling. X didn't want to hang out with them any more than he should when they were dropped off but, after some convincing from both Jackie and Venus, he finally went along with them. During their merc adventures, they went to go pick up cargo of a Laguna and that's when they met Zaida, a nomad. They decided to join their little group, soon a corpo named Yosef joined their group after meeting with Jackie and leaving the corpo life. It was then that the group was hired by Dexter to go get the chip from Yorinobu's suite. The plan was thought out throughly, Y and V will help T-Bug with the technical aspect of it incase she needs it as they both wait out in the car. Jackie, X and Z however go inside the building and initiate the business. But, things don't go as planned and the next few hours they are flying out of the suite's windows.

As X fell from the highest floor of Arasaka tower and only fell into another part of the building, a sharp edge of glass ripped through his left cheek and another large piece was lodged into his waist. Rendering him almost unconscious but, after a minute or two he was able to get up and at least aim his gun in the right direction without toppling over. As Z helped Jackie up, X already tried to make his way towards the door so he could get rid of any enemies that might be in their way. He suffered some more damage protecting the other two that by the time they were in the car, he was a shaky bloody mess but still alive. He wasn't awake enough to realise that Jackie was slowly rotting in the back seat as he was breathing heavily and zoning out. He only fully woke up when he was in a ripper docter chair, Vik's chair. He was told everything that had happened, Jackie dying, Z getting the chip put into their head, them getting shot and finding them in the junkyard. He nearly fainted again.

Life after the Heist wasn't really all that peachy. The group stayed closer than ever to each other in fear that they would lose another memeber again, one couldn't just go anywhere without the rest of the gang. V however set up shop as a ripper doc due to demands on Maelstrom's and Tyger Claws parts, so she couldn't really roll with them as much but they still look out for each other. With Z underlining conditions with a bullet and damaged chip in their skull, X had to help them out for the most part with focusing on things and when they are having a glitch he'd be there to give them medicine when they needed it. It seems ever since the incident with Dex, X has been more caring around Z to a point where he follows Z whereever they go. Watching over them and making sure that they don't do anymore dumb stunts that would make them hurt even more. They continued on doing their hired merc work for a while, even some cyberpsycho punks they had to euthanize. Eventually bumping into Takemura and later on tasked to seek revenge on Yorinobo for killing his own father. X continued on babysitting Z even then as Z accepted the challenge. Though Z did task X on dealing with Adam Smasher which made X more tired if he's honest.

Accepting the fact that Z was going to die soon was a horrible reality for him to face against. After dealing with Smasher, after dealing with Yorinobo, after helping Hanako with the vegeance for her father, it was all over. They no longer had to hide anymore, they even pleased the rocker boy Johnny Silverhand along the way. Z gave up Johnny to cyberspace where he'll forever reside in, his memory never fading away. But, Z was still dying even after Silverhand was removed from their head, X was aware of this sadly and there wasn't much he could do. All he had to do now was to spend time with Z and the crew as much as they could. He doesn't know how long this group was going to last without Z but hey, it has been one hell of a ride together.

Zaida's memorial was one to be remembered. Many people that they stumbled across and became friends with attended, even Royce and Rhino showed up. X was way in the back just observing everything that was happening, he didn't want to show people how sensitive he was in this moment, he should be used to this. It's Night City for crying out loud, everyone dies here. But, X knew Z. And that's what hurts him the most. The fact he related to them, looked after them, treated them like they were his sibling. The gang didn't fall apart like he suspected, they only grew even more closer. With it just being them three now, they know each other more than they know anything about their nightmare city. They'll continue doing their work and never separate. Even when they become old and brittle. X at least has Zaida's and Jackie's drink at the afterlife on their birthdays every year.
