Browlet

The golden child, the light of his parent's life and held up on a pedestal at a young age, Percival had a large shadow to step out of. He was chosen from a small flock of browlets, all raised communally by workers of the royal family, to be the next crowned prince. The rest were adopted by either noble families or were given other high ranking roles upon maturity. Percival though had been adept, curious, insightful and...a little more restrained than the other browlets present. Overall a very good, but predictably destructive, youngling.

Fledgling

During this time Percy was introduced to a noble browlet that would become his good friend and a lower class bird that would become his future knight. The three became fast friends and were often with one another when the crown prince wasn't stuck in lessons. In his youth Percival was taught many skills; he learned how to sing, how to play instruments, how to paint and dance and how to speak and write. His entire day would consist of back to back lessons unless he found a way to slip away. Overall though he found himself exhausted when not with his friends and grew a dislike for forced learning and sheltered lifestyles.

Young Adult

Things had been fine for a time. He'd found love in Cain, though his smitten feelings were kept to himself for a long time. He eventually confided in his best friend, Crescenzo. At the time he had good friends, a bright future and a strong community. He smiled at that point in his life far more often.
Things changed when Crescenzo and Cain were caught with one another. Percy's heart shattered and with it followed his soul, and from there his crest had split into two from the anguish. He had a hard time recalling what happened next. There was blood, violence, yelling and tears. When his emotions dared to calm he held Cain's severed horn in his palms and watched as his proud knight was hauled off by his staff. He'd attacked him so viciously that he dared not look at Cain again and simply gave the order that he wasn't to return. The same order was extended to Crescenzo, who had been attacked as well.
Left alone and broken, Percival closed in on himself.

Adult | Current

Due to his status he was forced to choose a new knight to stay by his side. With a soft spot for pink, whether he acknowledged it or not, he chose Jupiter to stand by his side. The pick was approved, as the knight had been well on his way to being one of the best the flocks had to offer, and the two became glued together. Percy confides in the other in a way he hasn't in years and their bond is undeniably strong, though underappreciated due to his past feelings.
Percival shifted to rule over his lands after the death of his father. Uncharacteristically he began to leave the planet and seek stimulation from the many worlds that made up the Celestial Seas. His society advanced technologically far quicker than it had under his parent's rule. Their planet had opened up to trade, tourism and alliances. Percival's court had grown considerably, and while the numbers were great each individual knew to never cross the prince turned king.
During his travels he met another bird by the name of Callisto and he employed the bird as his "hound". The bounty hunter was an interstellar superstar and his constant contracts with Percival only boosted his popularity and reputation. With all eyes on the strange partnership naturally crime and trouble soon followed. Whenever a headache popped up Callisto was hired to put an end to it for Percival.
Callisto was also commonly used to procure rare relics, media and fine art. He was also given orders to keep an eye out for a certain pair of birds. When word returned that Callisto had discovered both Cain and Crescenzo and their current whereabouts Percival began to plot and scheme. There were a million different ways the situation could go, but for now he keeps pondering his actions. Vengeance or forgiveness?

Aspects

• Wood: The most commonly seen aspect that Percival uses is his wood magic, especially on a planet as lush as his. He's commonly seen tending to his personal garden and using the magic when necessary. The bird also worked directly with other wood aspect birds to push their health programs forward. His goal had been to completely drown out blood aspect users and their contributions to medicine. As far as he was concerned, they were no longer necessary.
• Illusion: Percival's illusion magic is something he very rarely demonstrates. It's his newest aspect and something he finds himself getting caught up in far too often to feel comfortable using it. He meant for it to dazzle and manipulate others in the start. Yet instead he found himself creating grand scenes that he knew weren't real but plagued and pulled at his heart instead. He never mentions to others that he has this magic.
• Shadow: Percival's shadow aspect is the one he feels the most at home with. It was his first learned aspect and one he slipped into using often as a browlet. The bird would disappear into the shadows to escape from lessons or to sneak out into the world. Others who work with him and have seen the magic used first hand often gossip about how unnatural it felt and how it scared them. Percy pretends to not hear these murmurs and instead just lets the rumors compile. He was something to be feared, after all.
• Synchrony: Percival's aspects are, for lack of a better word, terrifying when demonstrated. He very rarely flaunts just how powerful he is. His aspects are something he is immensely proud of, but something he also dare not use without purpose.

• Percival collects and preserves different flora and fauna. He has quite a collection back on his planet, which he turned into a small museum for the public. Half of the reasoning being a publicity stunt while the other half of it was because he was simply running out of room.
• In his spare time he's often found writing poetry that some might call...emotional and depressing.
• The older he got the more wanderlust formed inside of him. It's not uncommon for Percival to travel for long spans with his knight and leave his court in charge of the political and social dealings in his absence.
• He's a very good diplomat and public speaker. His people have a large amount of respect for him and his style of leadership, especially for the growth he ushered in to their society. There are still many mixed rumors about him, but he's rather beloved as a whole.
• Percival very rarely personally mingles with the numerous crime lords that litter the seas, and instead he sends Callisto in his stead to be his ambassador. These dealings are unknown to his court.
