When he was in high school, he was a main player on the soccer team. He was one of the players who had the most promise and was scouted for a professional team before even graduating.

Unfortunately, not long into his professional soccer career, during the final match of his first championship game, he got severely injured. One of the opposing teams members, who had been in trouble before for fighting other players and several times got in physical fights, chose Lukan as his target. Being upset that this new player has come into the spotlight and was dominating the field, they decided to intentionally harm him, knocking Lukan to the ground hard and "falling" on top of him.

Lukan would be rushed out unconscious, and later at the hospital would find that not only was his leg broken, but he had been hit in the face by the other players cleat, and had permanent damage to his left eye. He would never be able to see out of it again, and as if that wasn't bad enough, the damage to his leg would heal, but he would likely never be able to play soccer again and would likely live the rest of his life with a limp.

This news would devastate him, and his horrible situation would make sports news. The only good thing from it being that the player who harmed him was finally exposed and punished for harming him and many other before him, both banned from all sports competitions and serving time for the assaults'.
Despite the good news, Lukan would spend several years in physical therapy and struggling with his new reality.
