Coming from two supporting parents with ideal jobs that gives them the ability to take care of their child, Gear Was able to grow up and appreciate the work and care they been given. That includes a superb doctor that had run some tests of their neurological profile when given the results afterwards Gear’s Parents were told that Gear Wouldn’t climb up to where their parents are job wise or outside of the house at all. And only expected to just flip burgers for the rest of their life.

Fearing for their child's future, Gear's parents went out of their way to make sure they get the best education that can be given and prove that the doctor's prognosis was shit. Gear was determined as well to prove it wrong with going hard at school with a distinct affinity to the ocean and what lies below its surface so when Gear had transitioned from elementary school to high school with little problem and was given the biggest achievement sense said transition from elementary school and that was obtaining a high school diploma and getting to walk across the stage. Flipping off any naysayers that they wouldn’t far in life and flipped off those who thought little of them.

And now their final hurdle before landing a job college was make or break at the time as the classes were a bit more harder than expected but. They kept pushing through to get on top and were fierce about it including getting in the top 20 in exams. After one thesis on a miscatorgized status for a marine animal it caught the attention of a 5 star aquarium which almost felt like fate in the making. After 4 years they got their bachelor's degree then the additional masters degree which took 2 years. So after six long years in total they got it, their doctorates degree

A month or so had passed before obtaining their job at the aquarium that had them on the radar and took them in so the aquarium has a marine biologist on staff for the health and care of the animals. With much much time later on after settling into the facility one the new cleaning staff had gone into the shark exhibit incorrectly and caught the attention of priscilla the tiger shark with his distraught swimming reminding the shark of a flailing seal and went at him. Gear saw it while talking with some staff and on impulse to both save that shark and fool ran up where the opening was for feedings.

Grabbing the dumbass when he was near the ledge of that tank when priscilla lunged and bit into their left arm for a moment and used their right to grab the top of her snout to help wiggle out their arm. She was given extra help with the staff that finally showed up. The shark wasn’t harmed when pushed back in just lost a tooth (don’t worry they have an unlimited supply) it was still in Gear’s skin but she kept the tooth as a reminder after lecturing the diver as he got his arm wrapped up for the moment so they could get driven to the hospital. Gear didn’t blame or get mad at the shark as she knew it was out of instinct and they have trouble discerning beings if they’re food or not.

Another incident evolved into Arnold the Octopus who got out of his exhibit and made his way to the touching area and attempted to eat the fish in it but was intervened. In retaliation the octopus bitch slapped them. Giving them that face scar in the process. Another round of scolding by them for who was in charge of supervising the most intelligent animal in the facility.

Some time had passed and things settled down. One of their co-workers walked up to them in the staff room talking about doing a solar eclipse party and was wondering if she was interested in joining them. He obliged by joining the group and when at that party something felt off.. Their co-workers terrace started to glitch out of a reality teleporting her to somewhere else (dimension 0)now being in a state of more confusion and when it was over they got up from where they were and started patting themselves.. when in the motion Gear stopped at his pocket and found a strange device (comp) and went to investigate said device touching it the device popped up a screen with two choices Fate or Fortuna.

She was mythed looking at the choice and thought about it “a lot of stuff in my life felt like fate so I guess I’ll choose fate” that choice promptly sent Gear to dimension 0.
