Physical Description

Light brown skin, dark brown eyes with thick lashes. Hooked nose with scattered moles. Shorter wavy dark brown hair kept brushed back with a part. Missing two fingers on left hand (pinky and ring). Slender athletic body.

Speech

Speaks Galactic Standard, Binary, and Bocce fluently. He also speaks a small amount of Huttese and Togruti. No accent.

Mental & Emotional

Bothered by his past dealings with the darkside but handles it decently well. It will occassionally show up in vivid dreams but he mostly has to deal with past pains when around fellow Jedi.

Very healthy with no known conditions. His time is spent in underground dealings when not at the Temple.

Expert saber duelist as well as a decent shot with a blaster. Can pull away from the dark side better than most.

Background/Story

Grew up in the Jedi temple on Coruscant and was given as a padawan to a Jedi Master named Korlith Dett. Korlith had his previous padawan taken away from him for reasons unknown to Nyx. He was also taken away from Korlith. After he was given to another master, Korlith committed suicide. Shocked at how the Jedi turned a blind eye to mental illness because it dealt with emotions, he left the Order. He used his skills in mechanics to set up a shop and make a living for himself. He met Ahsoka Tano when he was 17 and helped her when her bike crashed.

He allowed her to stay at his apartment for awhile until she could get a place of her own. Ahsoka offered to help in his shop to pay off his kindness and he happily obliged. Over the hours working together, he found out she used to be a Jedi, leaving not too long ago. He confessed he had left the temple too and they bonded over their common ideals, eventually growing feelings for each other. She, however, hadn't completely left her Jedi ways behind. Ahsoka focused on helping others in need in underground Coruscany and eventually, Nyx joined her. During Order 66, he lost track of Ahsoka and assumed she died like the many others slaughtered in that time. Her "death" broke him and fell to the dark side, drowned in the waves of self doubt, anger and pain.

After finding himself disagreeing with the Sith ways also, he managed to turn away from the dark side but not completely. Ahsoka came back to find him years later and managed to get him to come to the temple for help. Anakin Skywalker was given the duty of nursing him back to the light. The two bonded, Nyx making Skywalker proud the day he was Knighted.

Though Nyx has been caught up in multiple Temple scandals, including selling lightsabers on the black market, he still has managed to maintain his position as a Jedi with help. Though he rarely says it, his heart is full of appreciation for his Master and for those who have seen the light in his shadow. He'll always do things the slewn way but at least he is happy and secure in his life.

• Owns a shop that he still sometimes uses on Coruscant; underworld level 1313.

Personality

Brash and extremely reckless, he always seems to find himself in the worst possible situations. Nyx tends to laugh off physical and mental pain, playing everything up as much as possible. Not liked by many but loved by a few. Gives off an arrogant vibe but it's mostly all for show since he's always had to fill the room with bigger than life showmanship to survive.
