An Octarian made at the end of the war. Betta made her way to the surface rather fast. At the age of 15 she would be picked up by a team called Deep End and started to be trained to take the spot of a past player. She knew little of the inkling world at the time but whatever they said she believed. No matter how bad it was.
At 17 she would start subbing for Mitra who took the spot of their past dualies player. At 18 she became more full time on the team. Betta is the scapegoat. If something is going wrong its her fault. And she will always agree with them. Deep down it does hurt. But she never shows them it does. Always smiling, always carefree. She was raised to take the blame for everyone's problems. Everyone's issues were her fault.
Due to this she often does what she is told without question. Almost as if the Calamari Inkantation never reached her. She only speaks inkling and only speaks if spoken to. Her hair is styled to be like an inklings and she paints the signature inkling mask over her eyes. She's Deep End's saving grace. Sirene 2.0
Meeting Melona one day was an eye opener. The first inkling to tell her to speak Octarian over Inkling. She didn't know it at the time but Betta saw her as her first real friend. Not only that but this was the first person she had talked to that was her age. However Betta is kept under a tight leash being watched by the team and almost treated as a pet. She's manipulated into believing that only Deep End cares about her. And often wonders if Mel just wants to get close to know more insight about Deep End.
Betta is confused by her own feelings towards her team and herself. But its nice to be able to confide in someone
