Harv doesn't talk a lot unless he needs to. He uses as few words as possible. Doesn't care much for flair when communicating. Swears moderately often; he would do it more if it wasn't for his job. He's gotten warnings before for swearing in front of the kids. His voice is nearly always monotone (unless he's reading to the kids.) Harv is seen as cold and aloof, always keeping a neutral expression. Harv had a big ego and lots of pride, and it's pretty unshakable. He sucks up praise like a sponge and can dig validation for himself out of nearly any statement.
Harv does not give a shit about you or your issues; is how it may seem. The honest answer though is that he probably just didn't realize there was even an issue to be had. Most people's problems aren't things that affect him, so it's hard for him to sympathize. Harv is more blunt with his sarcasm, not always realizing when it goes too far or not picked up on by the other person. Parents have complained before about their kids coming home talking back like never before thanks to his less than stellar influence.
