Information

Albee works as a therapist in the object head universe, and they're made up of exactly 506 bees. They're currently married to Apis, and the two of them have been married for about 15 years. In their youth, Albee went through a rebellious period in their life, but they've since mellowed out and settles down into a comfortable, normal life. Still, that old rebellious spark still comes out sometimes.

Albee is not 506 individual bees — rather, it's the 506 bees that make up Albee's complete personality. If the swarm was to be split and separated, then the parts would be a fully functioning version of Albee, but would try to return to the main group as soon as possible. There isn't a hierarchy or a queen — there's just a collective consciousness that's spread across 506 individual parts.

Appearance

In their true form, Albee naturally takes the form of 506 bees — in the past, they had more, but through the years they naturally lost some to old age and other events, leaving them with their current number of 506. Each individual bee is slightly unique — they’re all solid black in color but range in size and shape. Some of them have singers, while other ones are harmless. There’s one “faux” queen bee that resides in the center of Albee’s swarm — it’s larger than the others, and has a slight purple hue to its body, but there’s nothing unique about it other than that.

For everyday outings, Albee dresses themself in multiple layers. They have several full size, doll bodies that they can use to put clothing on top of, and then from there, use the bees to control so that they can perform everyday tasks. This used to be extremely difficult for them, but after many decades of use, they’ve become quite skilled with piloting their doll body — still, they hate having people stare at it, and Albee will never wear clothing that exposes any of the doll’s plastic skin. They like natural colors, and will often base their outfits off of flowers or bright fruits.

When in their human form, Albee takes the appearance of an elderly, Caucasian person. They have short, wavy-curly gray hair, and their face is lined with age. They have green eyes, which always have a mischievous, knowing look to them. In their human form, Albee prefers to keep all of their body from the neck down covered in clothing. They do not have any visible scars, piercings, or tattoos.

Personality

Albee has mellowed out a lot in their old age —tend to be soft spoken and polite, preferring to stay on peoples’ good sides. They’re intensely curious, and will tend to pry into people’s private lives, asking as many questions as they can over long periods of time. One of their main methods of having people talk is offering them food or warm beverages and then having long, drawn out conversations about their lives.

There’s only been a handful of instances where Albee has completely lost their temper — if something is bothering them, they tend to let it simmer until they can address the issue in a calm manner. In the instance where they’re being threatened, they tend to try to placate the attacker. If somebody else is being attacked, Albee will jump to being defensive over them, putting the other person’s safety over their own.

Albee tend to stay under the radar — they enjoy their simple life with their husband, but they do have small rebellious moments where they visit the human world, or other universes just to explore. They often lean toward the morbid side of viewing the world, and will often make the long hike to a forgotten graveyard, which is tucked into the mountains near where Albee lives — they enjoy sitting next to the tombstones, contemplating about life, and talking aloud to themself.

History

Apis and Albee originally lived in the busy city, but as Albee got older, they became more sensitive to the amount of people around — so, Apis and Albee moved themselves outside of the city, to the countryside where the backyard of their house is the base of a mountain. On their free days, Albee enjoys walking the long trails through the mountainside alone. There's one specific spot that they love to visit — an old, abandoned graveyard that’s been overgrown with vegetation and overlooks the mountain ridge.

Albee has the ability to shapeshift into a fully functioning human body. All object heads have the latent ability to shapeshift — it’s like humans, where they all have the ability to lift objects that are several times heavier than their body weight, but it requires extreme training and good genetics — but Albee is extremely skilled compared to other object heads. They’ve had several adventures in the human world, which they keep secret from their husband for his own safety since it’s technically illegal for Albee to do this.

Abilities

Skillset
  • Therapy: Albee is good about having people open up to them — they're a great listener.
Unique Abilities
  • Conditional Immortality: like all object heads, it's pretty difficult to kill Albee and it has to be under specific circumstances.
  • Shapeshift: Albee is extremely skilled and can change their form into a fully functional, human body.
Relationships

Apis

Albee's lovely life partner and husband. The two of them have been married for about 15 years, and Albee is extremely comfortable around him. Apis often stays up until the late hours of the morning, and since Albee has trouble sleeping, they'll often be up to bring Apis a cup of his favorite chamomile tea while he is up working. While Albee and Apis aren't the type to be overly lovey and expressive, they couldn't imagine a life without the other.

Trivia

  • One of Albee's singular bees can live apart from the main swarm for up to 5 days without permanent damage. After 8 days, the body will have rotted and won't be able to rejoin with Albee's form.
  • Albee doesn't need to eat — the individual bees don't have the organs to digest food, and will instead roll in a nutritional powder/steroid that provides them with energy and basic nutrients. Albee can survive without this, but they will be more lethargic.
  • Albee believes in fate, and they always have a set of 54 fortune cards on their person.
  • In their human form, Albee can only comfortably maintain the form for 8 days. After 10 days, they will die, so it's imperative that they get to a place with high enough magic that they can shift into their true form and rest.
