Rootkit was born to Ravenmask and Weedpelt. Although they never got to know their mother, Weedpelt losing her life giving birth to her small kit, Rootkit. While Ravenmask was grief stricken, a she cat who had recently lost a kit. Cinderfleck, offered to take in the young kit, telling Ravenmask she had plenty of milk for Sunnykit and Rootkit.

Knowing it was the only way for his young kit to survive, Ravenmask agreed to allow Cinderfleck to help raise Rootkit. Ravenmask visited the kits often and Cinderfleck treated Rootkit as though they were kin.

Rootkit and Sunnykit got along really well. Although While they were learning to speak, Sunnykit often called Rootkit Pootkit. Although this over time became her nickname by the young tom. Although Rootkit often hates it when their brother calls them Poot.

Now an apprentice. Rootpaw was given a mentor by the name of Snowmouse. A small pale she cat who was rather quiet in nature. Not that Rootpaw minded. Although the two cats didn't speak much to one another, it seemed that they both seemed to understand one another.

Throughout this time Sunnypaw and Rootpaw were closer than ever. Sunnypaw being the only cat Rootpaw would talk to as a friend. Although they only became even closer when Cinderfleck and Ravenmask were both lost within a fire. Now Sunnypaw and Rootpaw were the only family each other had.

Over time, Rootpaw worked hard, to become a warrior. Although times they would get discouraged if they couldn't do anything. But it would always be Sunnypaw who would come to their rescue, then he'd help them to get better at it.

Soon enough the time came, when Rootpaw and Sunnypaw were to earn their warrior names. Sunnypaw earning the name Sunnynose, for his tracking abilities and the bright spot on his nose. Rootpaw earned Rootsplit for their split face.

Strengths

• They are surprisingly quick allowing them a chance to run away and get back up.
• They are almost silent when they are out hunting, that with blending into the undergrowth, makes them a fantastic hunter.
• They are very good at sitting and listenting to others, allowing others to vent if they need to.
• They are good at naming herbs and flowers, and making accessories with them.

Weaknesses

• They are physically soft and weak, their best bet in battle are small quick strikes until they can get away.
• They are hesitant, which does mean there are times when prey gets away before they have a chance to pounce.
• They are frankly too scared to strike up a conversation with anyone.
• They cannot swim...at all. They are terrified of water and never learnt to swim.
