Appearance
Marishi uses the medium female model. She has tan skin and big, dark pink eyes. She has long pink hair reaching her mid-back with short bangs framing her forehead. She ties most of her hair into a braided bun, but leaves out two thick, curled locks of hair that reach below her chest. She accessorizes it with white lotus hairpieces with gold-trimmed petals, a green jewel in the middle, and two spiky hair pins on each side. She also wears gold earrings that look somewhat like petals.
She wears a short, lotus-patterned white dress that is somewhat reminiscent of a kimono. It is dark pink on the inside and has a mauve and gold trim, with gold, lotus petal-like patterns on the mauve trim. There is also an opening just below her waist, under which there hangs a gold-framed, green jewel and a small gold diamond shape. The dress has a single kofurisode style sleeve that is dark pink on the inside and is lined with golden lotus decal with fans as well as a long green ribbon. Her second sleeve is identical, but is instead detached and at the top has a mauve trim with the lotus petal pattern that her dress has. It also has a golden awaji knot and a green tassel.
This dress is wrapped in a dark pink obi, with a smaller mauve sash wrapped around its center. At its front is a dark pink bow which splits off into two gold-trimmed ribbons and ending in a gold awaji knot with green tassels. Near the end of these ribbons is a small, gold lotus-like decal. The obi is tied with a green and white rope, two of which hand somewhat loose around the side of her body. At the center of the bow is her Anemo vision.
Around her neck, she wears a chunky mauve choker somewhat reminiscent of a collar. It has gold cloud designs on either side and a golden awaji knot in the middle. Below it, she wears a jade bead necklace with three magatama symbols. She also wears mauve leg covers that stop at her ankles, with white ribbon stitching at the top and golden, wisp-like designs on the lower leg portion. She wears golden sandals with a similarly wisp-like design at the heel and a green-jeweled lotus design at the front.
When shielded, she wears a wispy green hagoromo made of Anemo power. In her official art, she is depicted wielding Menaka's Loneliness.

Marishi is introduced as an emotional, passionate, and cheerful woman, somewhat unbefitting to her age and prestigious role. She is eager to help others and shows an unconditional kindness to everybody that she meets, even to those who are dismissive or wary of her. This is because she has spent so much time away from people, due to fear that she may accidentally hurt them. However, she is quite extroverted and has always longed for human contact, so her isolation has made her rather lonely. Despite this, she maintains a sunny disposition.
As a Scribe of Tokoyo Ookami, she has recorded centuries of history, all the way back to the beginning of the world. As such, she is privy to both the brightest and darkest sides of the gods and humanity alike. Rather than jading her, however it has made her a deeply sentimental person who believes that no part of the past should ever be lost, left behind, or forgotten. Learning history from so many points of view has led her to the belief that everybody has their own version of history, and each one is that person's personal truth. She believes strongly in the fact that everyone has the right to their own truth, and that everyone needs to find their own truth to believe in.
Despite her lack of human interaction, she has still amassed a great deal of wisdom in her extensive lifetime. Due to her belief that no memory should be forgotten, she holds onto hers tightly, and seems to have become a very resilient person as a result. She acknowledges that, while some of her memories are painful, she would like to hold on to them until they don't hurt her anymore. That way, when the day comes that they no longer bring her any pain, she will know that she has become stronger and she will be glad that she has them.
Since her exile to Enkanomiya, her experience with other people has been either through books or visions bestowed upon her by the Tokoyo Ookami. It is implied that her love for books, particularly those with happy endings, have instilled in her a romantic and idealistic personality. This is likely why she trusts others to the point of gullibility, not holding any grudges toward those who have wronged her and seeing the good in everybody she crosses paths with. She is a firm believer in the power of the heart and human bonds, and believes that everybody is both capable of and deserving of love. Her romantic beliefs have no doubt fostered a romantic personality as well, with Marishi playfully making cheeky and flirtatious comments.
Having spent the past hundreds of years in the Dark Sea, she is largely unaware of modern-day customs and technology and as a result can come off as naïve or even childish to others. However, she is far from unintelligent, with centuries' worth of knowledge at her disposal. She is also is incredibly patient, emotionally intelligent and insightful when it comes to people's feelings.
Additionally, she seems to display a doting, nurturing nature around children, with a young Kyonosuke wishing that she was his mother and the Sunchildren of Enkanomiya referring to her as big sister. Of the Sunchildren, Orupeusu even likens her bright demeanor to the sun, since she watches over the children who all seem to orbit around her.

| Performing a series of hand gestures known as the nine symbolic cuts, Marishi summons 8 spears of enlightenment that fall to the earth from the heavens, one by one after a short delay, exploding as they hit the ground. She grabs the ninth falling spear before it hits the ground and uses it to perform a great slash. The AoE created by the fallen spears becomes a field that decreases the Anemo RES and Physical RES of opponents within it. It also deals periodic Anemo DMG to opponents within the field. |
