Born in the heart of the woods among the Forestspeakers, Sparrow was  different from the other druids in her circle. She was born small and as  an aasimar, different from everyone else in her circle. Initially, the  circle was cautious, keeping her shielded from the outside world,  however, their attitude slowly changed to allow her the same freedoms as  her peers. Her life was largely ordinary up until this point, her  aasimar blood lying dormant until she had her first major scuffle with  the Iron Arrow and some poachers who were attempting to hunt a unicorn.  During this encounter, Sparrow was grievously injured by the Iron Arrow,  permanently scarring her.

As she healed from the deadly encounter, she began to sprout feathers from her skin, and her need to protect the forest became her goal in life. In addition, she became a far more reserved individual, selectively mute from the trauma. However, as she met another protector of the forest, an arcane archer named Tinuviel, her real personality came forth again, though only around him.
