He speaks in third person. He tends to comes across overly excitable and friendly, as well as simple-minded and delusional. He never thinks too hard about things, which often leads him in (and out) of danger. He would do just about anything for slime mold, which is how he got the piece of metal stuck around his neck. His aim is terrible, he's quick to run, and gets jumpy when there's danger, but wouldn't leave a friend behind.
Mold used to live alone in the Underhang, and so he enjoys and is a good climber. He grows rather attached to the rocks he finds, and keeps piles of them in his dens for company, naming each one. He travels with a rock called "Pointy" who he will often consult for directions. Luckily it's not actually that pointy, because he keeps this rock in his stomach. He hopes to one day reunite with another rock named "Rolly", who sacrificed itself to protect Mold when they were running from danger. In reality, Mold threw Rolly in his panic to escape, where it fell to the lower regions.
