- They have thier own top-of-the-line TARDIS that was left behind when they were 'kidnapped' by the Doctor. They later retrieved it when they began to travel on their own.
- When the first incarnation of the Captain met the 12th and Missy regenerations of their parents, neither of them believed they were their child. They stated the Captain being top of their class at the Academy and their loyalty to Rassilon as 'proof' that they couldn't be theirs.
- While they have seen a lot more war and death for a Time Lord they are still very young and inexperienced. Due to their age and sheltered upbringing, they have little experience outside of Gallifrey and with any races other than Gallifreyans and Daleks.
- Sometime during their travels, they met Captain Jack Harkness who mistakenly assumed that the Doctor had named their child after him. He was quickly corrected by both the Doctor and the Captain; assuring him that they chose the name themself.
