About
Lor is a vampire inkling, a mischievous troublemaker and a self-proclaimed menace to society. They conduct themself as a mix of the average edgy teen and the average quirky teen. They work a multitude of strange, all mostly unrelated jobs, but thankfully are responsible enough to keep themselves afloat. Their primary job is working in a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant which they inherited from their parents. The food is good and perfectly safe, but mysteriously, ever since they took over the business, customers have reported temporary issues keeping up in battles after eating their food. Weird. Anyways, they also sell second-hand lolita clothing, along with second-hand battle gear online. The clothing is high quality, but the prices, especially for the battle gear, are pretty insane. They upcharge a LOT, especially to add star power, claiming that they don't increase it themselves, but rather, they know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who increases it for them. Both of these jobs are just fine for Lor, but their true passion is creating shitty music and posting it on the internet. Their favorite songs are Cbat by Hudson Mohawke and It's Halloween by The Shaggs, which they sample quite often in their terrible music. They found both songs in an abandoned bin in Alterna, and instantly became hooked onto them. Whether their music is terrible on purpose or not remains a mystery...

past
Lor was born as a normal inkling baby to two very hardworking, yet protective parents who owned a tiny little restaurant in Splatsville. Lor was born blind, which was quite the shock to their parents, who were both sighted. They worked very hard to adapt to their baby's disability, and were determined to provide for their child as much as possible, and they definitely did. Lor grew up as a mischievous child, and would always play pranks on their parents, friends, peers, and restaurant customers... much to their parents' chagrin. Their mischief was all in good fun, but some of their peers really did not take well to it. They, unfortunately, learned this the hard way. In first grade, they scared a classmate so badly that the poor kid reflexively bit Lor! Said classmate was a vampire inkling, and their bite turned Lor into a vampire themself... Both kids were very apologetic, but Lor's parents were so horrified by the incident that they withdrew them from school and taught them how to manage the restaurant in order to give them some form of education. Lor spent the next six years learning how to successfully manage the restaurant, while keeping up their pranks on the side. When Lor was around twelve years old, their parents mysteriously disappeared while on a business trip and never returned home... leaving the now-orphan child to take over the family restaurant. Their learning experiences as a child proved to be worthy, but they were devastated that they didn't properly inherit the business.
Present
Today, Lor's restaurant is just as successful as ever, if not moreso due to the population boom in Splatsville. The success is quite relieving because without their parent's supervision, the mischievous teen tends to spike all of the food they sell. Now, they're not spiking it with anything harmful to anyone's health, but they definitely have adverse effects in battle. Think of it as the polar opposite of the food that causes buffs -- it's still good food, but it leaves the unsuspecting customers with a temporary, impossible-to-explain struggle in battle. They've also found success in selling clothing online. They sell lolita clothing, along with battle gear with increased star power... however, they can't do this without adding their own weird spin on it. Their lolita clothes are adequately priced, but their increased-star-power battle gear is SUPER expensive, due to their claims of having to get the gear from a third party. Whether or not this is true is up for debate (spoiler: it's true), but people are still pretty outraged by the prices. Lor's greatest passion in life, however, is making music. All of their music sounds very... weird. Like, objectively, it sounds horrible. Lor makes it anyways, but they love to be pretty ambiguous and vague about whether or not their music is bad on purpose...

Ollie [ Mentor/Friend ]
Lor and Ollie met by complete chance on the first day Ollie moved to Splatsville. She was starving and exhausted from moving, so she went to the nearest place for food and was basically shocked by how young the person behind the counter was. She was also delighted by the fact that Lor was dressed in lolita fashion, which is what made the two start becoming friends. From there, Ollie decided to take Lor under their wing, and with the help of her boyfriend, they taught Lor the ropes of selling clothing. Lor really admires Ollie a lot, but... unfortunately for her, that doesn't make her immune from their pranks.
Spyke [ Mentor/Friend ]
Ollie's beloved boyfriend, which makes him another mentor to Lor. They think he's super cool and admire his business model quite a lot, though they don't see the appeal to sea snails. Either way, they think Spyke is awesome and want to conduct their online store in a similar way to him! To show their gratitude for all of his help, they look past their dislike for sea snails and try to cook them in various ways for him... but of course, like all of their food, their recipes cause obvious debuffs.
Murch [ Mentor/Friend ]
Murch is Spyke's own mentee, yet Lor also looks up to him as well. Lor likes Murch a lot, so much to the point where they get a kick out of bothering him. It's his fault for being on his phone all the time, which makes him prime bait for Lor to hit him with the "DO YOU HAVE GAMES ON YOUR PHONE???" When reminded of the fact that there aren't any games for them to play due to their visual impairment, they then hit him with the "DO YOU HAVE SPOTIFY ON YOUR PHONE???" They just think it's hilarious, much to his chagrin.
