lucia used to be a gravure idol for a man's magazine with a decent following before he passed the ¨desirable age¨ for a pinup model and promptly retired. she still dresses as she did on the ¨prime¨ of their youth, tacky, bright, and pink all around. nowadays, he works at a crummy bar at the shinjuku red light district as a host, being a particular favourite amongst the others. his job earns him enough for his rather simplistic lifestyle; whilst not an addict, lucia indulges more often than not in alcohol and nicotine for comfort, even if responsably.
despite his appearance, he is quite down to earth and easy to please. there's nothing lucia really wants or wishes for, other than wanting to keep himself busy to not dwell in any of their past. he often feels haunted; perhaps his lack of a childhood leading him to the aesthetics he usually prefers. he doesn't really like conflict nor getting into trouble, and often doesn't bother to get to know people better. a real people pleaser, prone to helping other people in what he can, while feeling immense guilt in asking for favours, or even receiving help. her self esteem and self loathing could use some work.
whilst he looks like glamour and stardust, all she does upon arriving home is drink soju (responsably, without an empty stomach) before heading to bed after hygiene.
unlike other dainties, lucia is not very fashion savy, and mainly has kept his clothes and outfits from when he was younger, of which he takes a great care of and spends a great amount of time in upkeep and care. he made a dress out of pennies, once, but decided to auction it instead due to the heavy smell of copper, which gave him migraines to last for months.

borne of a marriage between a foreign politician and a sex worker, sononi lived with her mother before she killed herself due to their bad living condition. she was scouted by a modelling agency when she was young with the intention to exploit her with unfair terms, but the job was something she got joy out of; the paycheck didn't really matter, since making himself busy was always a welcomed sight. things troubled him, often; his mother's death being a prevalent theme in his nightmares. his approach to things was to not approach them at all, rather indulging in manmade comforts even if just for a while; surrounded often by clothes softener and light perfume.
he took upon the stage name of lucia; the supposed name his father had for him, given he didn't left his mother before his birth, maybe as a mark of pride for having survived all these years, or a mere taunt.
nowadays, lucia lives at a old building in one of the larger apartments. he is well liked by the older residents - because despite his rather flashy exterior - he's polite and good for manners, a skill he needed as a downtrodden child in the showbiz business. lucia identifies as a man, but plans not to partake in gender reassignment surgery given the costs- besides, he's comfortable as he is in his body. while people are often confused, they are respectful of lucia's boundaries, and for the ones that don't earn a smack to the head or two.
whilst lucia doesn't mind being referred to as a woman, given that he doesn't plan going through medical transition and people will always assume; he wishes the real him could survive in the world as he was.
