Cyntra once was a very beautiful (human) woman. Ebony hair, light blue eyes, generous forms.. everyone around were falling under her spell.
But with her great beauty came a terrible defect, her vanity. She was so imbued with herself, she did not want any other girl to shade her.
One day, she came across a strange looking book, a sort of old grimoire with runes and ancient symbols all over it. She went through the pages until she found a title that caught her attention "how to reach eternal beauty". Without taking the time to read more, Cyntra hastened to gather the ingredients listed for the ritual, and pronounced the incantation to perfection.
A strange red haze appeared in the room, and in its center, a silhouette maliciously ricanned "Poor sinner .. You who desire eternal beauty, may your wish be granted."
Before Cyntra had the time to understand what just happened, the figure disappeared as it had come.
Suddenly, an horrible pain took her to the head. She raised her hands to try to stop it, but what was not her horror when she saw sharp claws coming out of her fingers and toes. Her skin took a red hue, scales appeared ..
The demon had played well of the poor human... After all, beauty is subjective, and from a monster's point of view, Cyntra was certainly one of the prettiest..
The poor creature had no choice but to bury herself in a cave, out of sight, hoping that one day she would find someone who could see beyond her monstrous appearance...
