Design Notes;
- She's 5'6", or 168cm! However, she's usually wearing platform boots that bump her height up to 5'10"/178cm.
- Her hair is a lot longer than it looks at first glance. It fans out around her neck, and then again around her lower back--she kinda has an anime mullet, honestly.
- Always wearing gloves to conceal electrical burns on her hands.
- The orange blossoms on her pants were hand-embroidered. She likes decking out just about everything she owns, from her clothes to her scrapbooks to her phone.
- Has several piercings, most notably snakebites and a couple earrings.
- As the name implies, Yuzuru is based on a barn owl! That's why her wings are colored the way they are, as well as why she has birthmarks beneath her eyes and a white, heart-shaped mask.
Trivia;
- Her Phantom Thief alter ego is named Glaukopis, after an epithet for Athena. She steals jewelry from rich socialites, often right off their necks.
- Collects beanie babies and names them after kinds of soup.
- Can't be a 90s kid because she was born in 1998, but has a fondness for the gaudy late 90s aesthetic anyway.
- Has no internet presence other than a neocities that looks straight out of 90s-early 2000s internet, complete with broken gifs and a khjillion different fonts.
- Her weapon of choice is a collapsable metal staff that she keeps in her boot.
- Meticulously keeps a journal of her everyday life. It's relatively well organized, in contrast to her scrapbooks, which are Incredibly maximalist like the rest of her aesthetic. When she doesn't want to keep a page in her journal, she burns it with a lighter she keeps on her at all times.
- She was taught to cook by her dragonborn boss, so she seasons the everloving shit out of everything she makes. If you don't like spicy food, her cooking will kill you instantly.

Important Relationships;
- Yayoi Kanemoto - Little sibling. Yuzuru basically raised them. (they/he)
- Draefendi - Yuzuru's boss and adoptive father figure. A gruff dragonborn man who shows affection silently but sincerely. (he/him)
- Ran Nara - Yuzuru's partner. Met once, pre-killing game. They dream of a simple future together, and may chase it now after the game's end.
- Kane Tremblay - Yuzuru's dear friend, partner, and unintentional murder victim. She calls him 'Firefly'.
- Gale Epithos-Horez - Dear friends, torn apart and reunited. She cares for him deeply and refuses to waste the second chance he gave her.
- Jasric Grimling - Yuzuru's BESTIE!! (Her dear friend. She spent a long time trying to get close to him, and now they confide in each other. Sees herself in him and wants to truly know him, despite his prickly demeanor. They're an odd duo.)
Personality;
- At first glance, Yuzuru Kanemoto carries herself with a confidence that makes her come across as a down to earth, effortlessly cool woman. This illusion is promptly shattered when she opens her mouth. Yuzuru is a woman who has put all of her eggs into a single basket, and as such, kinda sucks at everything she does that isn’t crime. Has a tendency to jump to a (wrong) conclusion and cling to it like a remora to the underside of a shark. While she's a bit slow and very stubborn, Yuzuru means well and is incredibly crafty. Though her phantom thief persona has her boasting about her greatness, the truth is that Yuzuru is a sheepish lady with very, very rusty social skills. She gets anxious easily and tends to overcompensate. Her boasting, though performative, is fun to listen to–Yuzuru is an excellent storyteller, her larger-than-life mannerisms lending exceptionally well to dramatic recreations of events. She feels a lot in a very short amount of time, and she doesn't bother hiding it most of the time. She's an awful liar if put on the spot, but an excellent one if she can practice--her heists are so successful because they're planned out to a surgical degree. Once you get past her difficult exterior, Yuzuru is a very sweet woman who wears her big, dumb heart on her sleeve.
- Yuzuru's fatal flaw is that, beneath her sunny exterior, she's horribly fatalistic. She believes that she doesn't have a future beyond the killing game--that she'll be caught as a thief in the ensuing missing persons investigation, and that'll be it for her. Even without the killing game, she struggled to picture her life going on beyond the next couple of years. Though her friends, namely Gale and Tamika, tried to talk her out of this, she clung to this idea to its logical extreme. When presented with a vision of her greatest desire--a peaceful life where she's safe and happy with the people she loves--and goaded into killing in exchange for making it real, she jumped at the opportunity and put a plan into action to kill one of the fellow kg participants at random.
