While Bark's existence is not known to many, to those who do know of him, he is a fan favorite. Bark is a rejected design for Animal Crossing: New Leaf, yet his files still exist within the code. Some modders have managed to get him into their save files, simply by modifying the code to their games. Despite Bark's in-game gender being Male, he has a peppy personality. Among fans, Bark is called a "trans icon", for the implication that Bark is a trans male. Bark's only appearance is in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
