-One evening, Adelaide, a lonely girl in her senior year of high school, would make a wish upon a shooting star to stop the bullying she had been experiencing all throughout her schooling after being held back a year at a very young age. Her wish would come true, just not in the way anyone could expect...

-For several weeks after she'd made the wish, she would have recurring nightmares of being choked or asphyxiated. Seemingly a strange occurrence to her, but it was actually early signs of her losing her humanity, having it "killed" within her even while still remaining alive.

-Eventually those dreams would begin to affect her in real life. Adelaide never felt fully rested and would go throughout the last of her school days in a complete slump, which only made the unkindness she faced from her classmates more and more draining.

-On one particularly rough day, she got cornered by a bunch of mean girls while at her locker, and they proceeded to roast the absolute shit out of her. Adelaide was already particularly grumpy from being her fatigue and tried to ignore them. Angry at being ignored however, the leader of the group would grab Adelaide, push her against the lockers, and punch her directly in the face, telling her to "listen up, bitch!".
This was finally the last straw for Adelaide. The moment she screamed as she riled a punch back, a bright white light surrounded her. Her appearance breaking through the light had become completely different as her punch landed, the impact surrounding her in a large shockwave which pushed everyone in the hallway to the floor. When the dust cleared, Adelaide saw the destruction she had been able to cause, the huge dent in the locker behind her, and the limp, lifeless body of her former bully across the hall in front of her.

-With the realization of her newfound abilities sinking in, Adelaide could finally have her revenge on everyone that had ever bullied her. Using only her fists, she would go on to kill everyone in her grade. She also destroyed multiple parts of the school building, possibly killing others in the process.

-Adelaide had permanently transformed and become part space child, though some qualities of her humanity would remain.

She had gained several powerful abilities, mainly the power of flight and the ability to utilize powerful shockwaves with every punch and kick.
Her school outfit also transformed with her. It changed colors to match her hair and became entirely made of stardust down to the thread, making it never require to be cleaned again.
Despite her newfound power, she would never have the same durability and regeneration as a regular space child. Regular space children have sparkling stardust for blood, but Adelaide, being a hybrid, still had regular red blood, although it sparkles like glitter in the sunlight.

-Star bore witness to the incident from afar, hearing the sounds from the collapsing building, and was quick to confront Adelaide as she made her escape. She couldn't risk one of her kind being captured by humans, after all.
It would be from Star that Adelaide would learn everything about what she had become, and how to use and control each of her abilities.
Star also helped her pick out her new spacechild name, Venus, after Adelaide took interest in the planet's obscenely toxic weather.
Since they were both vengeful towards something, the two teamed up. Star would help Venus get revenge on everyone that hurt her, and Venus would help Star get revenge on the one who destroyed her home planet. The two wreak havoc on society together.
They do eventually end up dating, but their relationship is very subtle. They didn't have a honeymoon phase, nor are they overly affectionate towards one another in public. Their passion for each other comes out when battling, though even then you'd have to keep a close eye on how the two look at each other.
