Ooh ok ok, so first off Tonic starts off as human. Their working as a park trail engineer in the flesh pit. But one of the trials they were working on got overflowed causing them to get lost in the park. Then the whole amorphous shame starts and bam turtle silly. Lucio (raccoon silly dw about it) found them on a trail. Turns out there a whole community of shame who work in the park.
For the second part it’s after the whole incident in 2007 caused all surviving shame to be exposed to the world. Eventually more or less accepted tonic gets a job as a teacher. Then it’s just a lot of in the wrong place at the wrong times we’re they experience the events of like the Washington moment n other ones!
