Kyanite

Kyanite herself is a spunky, unhinged gem. She often has major tantrums about the smallest things. Being defective and partially corrupted has done a number on her. She is very stoic and doesn't like other gems testing her authority.

However, she has a soft spot for Sapphire and is calm around her or when she is mentioned in a positive way. Kyanite tries to cool off whenever she can, her crewmates deserve it.

She fights dirty and will do anything in her power to win, or scar her enemy for life. She uses her authority to make herself feel better and can abuse her power sometimes.

Kyanite's are formed exclusively by Fancy Blue Diamond. After she screwed up and made an entire batch of Kyanites with the wrong conditions. All of the Kyanite's were off-color, too short, and their gems were all cut wrong. So naturally, Indigo frantically tried to cover it up. She ordered her Sapphire to weigh her options.

The Sapphire told her that if she did not have them 'tended to' that Golden Diamond would have to revoke her status as a matriarch, she also berated her own Diamond about choosing this option, she wanted her to own up to it, and save an entire planet of gems. due to this, Fancy Blue sent the Sapphire to the Kyanites to have her shattered as well, she knew too much at this point. 

Fancy Blue prepared to destroy all of the off-color Kyanites by corruption and blowing the planet into stardust. Sapphire didn't want this, she didn't want all of these gems to suffer because she did her job. So, she picked a Kyanite from the crowd and told her everything. The Kyanite had a violent, yet charming attitude. The two formed a plan, they were to fuse together and use their combined abilities to get away from Indigo. 

Kyanite was all for it, she wanted to save this Sapphire who gave up her status to free this planet from the destruction that was sure to come. So, the two fused into one, Tanzanite. 

Tanzanite had the power to fly, thanks to Sapphire having the ability to float, and Kyanites fighting spirit. The pair were able to take five Kyanite with them, four 'normal' Kyanite and one tiny Kyanite. It was hard to fly away and watch an entire planet be obliterated as if it didn't matter. 

The group began to collect all the gems they could find. Every Kyanite that survived was corrupted and gone, they bubbled all of them that they could find and took them to a safe moon not too far away.

It was an abandoned colony, with tons of gem tech laying around. Dark Kyanite was the smartest of the soldiers, and along with Sapphire, they created a ship together and they named it 'Falling Star'

The group now live together there and are constantly attacking Fancy Blue Diamonds colonies. And searching for Indigo Diamonds cure for corruption, so they can save the rest of the Kyanites.
