[B]History:
Wentworth Carter and his then-girlfriend, Priscilla Vermont, moved to Richmond, Virginia in their early 20’s to start up the business of Wentworth’s dreams; a train railway, one of the most effective versions of transportation at the time. Little did he know it would bring him the utmost of wealth, and one of the coziest lifestyles he and Priscilla could imagine.
1912, ‘Wentworth Railways’ was established.
Shortly after Wentworth and Priscilla married, the train rail he had funded in Virginia was well on its way to having another large station in Dallas, Texas. The trail was a continual work in progress, however the station placed in Dallas was it’s ultimate goal. The railway was a considerable success, causing Wentworth to rise in notoriety. Because of this, however, he felt completely invincible and overwhelmed with self pride, leading him to have an affair on his wife with one of the Puerto Rican house maids, Camila Ojeda.
The affair lasted over the course of a few months, causing an unexpected, resented pregnancy, and Wentworth threatening the maid to keep her mouth shut about the entire thing; especially around his suspicious wife.
1918, a baby was born. Camila pleaded that Wentworth take the child and raise him, however Wentworth had different plans. He disowned Camila completely so as not to take any risk in his wife discovering the bastard child, and left her to raise the child on her own with her blood family. She soon named the baby Angel Ojeda, hoping he would be the angel she saw him as; her saving grace. He was half white, and she wanted him to do great things given that fact.

In 1929, Angel was 11 years old. Camila Ojeda had passed away as the Great Depression had hit the family hard. At this time he was a generally well-rounded child, and was an incredibly determined and hard worker just as his mother had taught him to be in the best effort to help keep the family fed, watered, and alive.
Struck deeply by the death of his mother, Angel could only pack his things and head to the person whom he had blamed, hoping to prove his worth; his father. Despite the fact he didn’t know the man, and loathed him, he inserted himself immediately the first opportunity he had. Wentworth hardly had a choice in this matter; Priscilla was only able to give birth to two younger girls, and Wentworth had wanted a son to work with him on his railways. It only solidified it when Priscilla was made aware that Angel was in fact Wentworth’s bastard son, and she insisted he be a father instead of a coward. Their marriage was unstable at this point, though lasted, and Wentworth renamed Angel Ojeda to Cash Davis Carter, in attempt to fit him in with his own family (along with the name Cash having obvious implications.)
Naturally, he didn’t fit in well and was often abused, thus causing Cash to keep to himself and his work.

Wentworth was bewildered at his son’s will to work and push the company forwards; he’d never seen such determination within any of his other workers, nor hardly within himself. Even at such a young age, Cash spent most of his day working on the trail road and insisted he do so. Nothing would deter him from his job, and this lasted well into his teens. He was often visiting the finished train station in Dallas, Texas, thus earning himself the nickname ‘Dallas’. There was only one person besides his two half sisters who he gave the time of day towards, and actually grew a slight affection to, but he never let his guard down and would tell no one.
Upon working with this individual in his free time, Cash had the means to create one of, if not the world’s most fastest train in history. This is where his life took a turning point; he worked harder than he’d ever worked in his life, finishing the train early 1945. It was a phenomenon; the train could travel from Virginia to Dallas within a single day, rather than the usual 3 days time with the old trains. He was proud of his work, and so was his father.

In need of supplies and not caring how they got them, the government asked Wentworth for access to his train and train route to deliver goods across the USA for war purposes.
Wentworth wanted no part in the war, and refused. The government overruled his say, and ended up using the train system regardless of whether or not it was 'permitted' by the company. To stop this from happening, Wentworth, Cash and men from their team who had felt the same way about the war manually began to pull apart the train tracks, rendering the train immobile and out of order until fixed.
This drew in the attention of Andrew Ryan, who wanted no one else but Wentworth and his family to come to Rapture and create the tram system within the Underwater City spectacle.
They accepted.

Cash works hard in Rapture on the railways, while his parents rest in retirement and enjoyment, living off of the riches they’d already created for themselves alongside his two younger sisters.
At some point when Little Sisters are created, he couldn’t help but feel protective and sympathetic over the girls. He ends up losing a hand trying to protect one from the railway system. He failed.
The best way to find him is working away on the railways of Rapture and potentially in the tavern having a drink.

[B]Personality:
Because of certain instances in his past, Cash has forced himself to be mildly apathetic and stoic. He is very personable and keeps to himself more than half of the time. He doesn't like meddling in other people's business, and is very driven by his work. A talented technician. His sense of humor is very sarcastic, and if you can reach a certain level of sarcasm with him he will absolutely be willing to give you time out of his day. He has respect for people as a whole, but still doesn't tend to interest himself in anything besides his own interests.
