you is a seemingly, very upbeat and happy employee at lobotomy corporation. he's more than happy to stare death in the face, and laugh about it. he doesnt love his job or anything like that, he more enjoys the friends and company he's made while there, as well as being able to "build the future".
he wasn't always like that, however. a terrifying amount of death/revivals is what shaped him into a more outgoing personality, all in the name of facing the fear. he used to be far more unempathetic, people describing him as not "normal" for his lack of empathy. for better or for worse, he's almost (but not quite) lost that aspect of his personality.
PERSONALITY
you was once a person that others would struggle to get along with, due to his inherent lack of empathy, and how cold he often seemed. he was quite a big recluse, often keeping to himself, not bothering in other people's matters. however, after getting a job at lobotomy corp, something clearly shifted for him.
he is now outgoing, upbeat, and sympathetic (though not quite empathetic.) he's quite charismatic, always trying to get along with his colleagues (or rather, bother them.) he doesn't quite seem to take the situation at hand too seriously (the situation in question > abnormalities.) which can often frustrate those around him who are trying to work. you however sees it as a way to boost morale, with jokes and not viewing the work as the death sentence it inevitably is.

after so many violent deaths in the facility, you has been left with scars littering his body. this isn't aided by his tendancy to self harm . he doesn't quite remember why he does it, either. he's grown increasinly depressed over every revival, but never quite remembers why he's in so much despair. in reality, it's due to him working closely with the abnormality bloodbath. the hopelessness felt from the abnormality and the trauma surrounding its origins have seeped into him.
while you is outwardly upbeat and happy, he is using it to shield his true feelings of complete hopelessness and need for escape. need for escape. he doesn't want to be here. but he doesn't have the courage to do anything about it.
CAPABLE EMPLOYEE
in his originality, you was once, alongside an unknown colleague, tasked to observe the abnormality known as (CENSORED). neither of them made it out alive, of course. the job was essential though. viewing the true form of the abnormality was a death sentence to anyone, but due to you's lack of empathy and ability to withstand most mental torture, he volunteered to go in, in order to get as much information out as possible. all the data he recorded has since been (CENSORED) for precautionary reasons, but it's benefited the rest of the facility to find the safest way to apply cognition filters to the abnormality, so that it can be worked with in a "safer" manner.
unfortunately, this was the beginning of the end for you. his psyche had changed. even with his lack of empathy and fear, the encounter was enough to shift him entirely into being almost a different person. no one notices this, due to the whole time loop thing. it's just as though you has always been this way to them, and to himself. the logs he took with (CENSORED) blank out his name, because any and all information pertaining to the abnormality is a danger. so truly, no one will know what once was.
RELATIONS
the abnormality seems to have taken a liking, if not an obsession, to you. he quite enjoys ripping him to shreds a little bit more than that, however.
they definitely have an odd relationship, but you and crowley very much get along together, despite their differences. crowley often gets frustrated when you's joking about their imminent doom, however...
you isn't erel's biggest fan. and erel isn't you's biggest fan, either. they clash, and often avoid each other altogheter. erel's twisted sense of justice is a bit much for you.
