Hidden in the peaks of the mountains, Reverence is a mighty beast of myth and legend. Most of the stories about him are true, they say. But then again, that is a story in itself. Long ago, Reverence was known for burning down nations, demolishing mountainsides, and hoarding treasures beyond the common man's imagination. Though his tales spark fear, they do not fail to spark adoration too. Rescuing princesses from rival Dragons. Splitting the densest forests in two in order to allow villagers to pass through. Aiding the good side in countless wars and battles.
After his bout of fame, he vanished off the map. Many decided he had finally perished after his long life, others argued that he had been slaughtered in cold blood. Some suggested he might have just left--flown across the ocean to the lands beyond their own.
In truth, he had simply retired, too old to continue his vigorous lifestyle, yet too young to yield to knights in shining armour or to give up his fortune. Though in the middle of his lifespan, he returned to the caves he hatched from--where he kept his riches--and settled.
If you are lucky, you might come across him during his rare trips outside as he hunts for food. If you wish to possess a certain treasure of his, you must answer a riddle. Answer correct, and you receive the prize of the item you asked for. If you answer wrong... you won't have enough time to process you answered incorrectly before he stewed you alive.
