Baavgai Buduga

A selfish, hedonistic, and often cruel giant of a Xaela, Baavgai is... not what most people expect when they hear the term "Warrior of Light". His deeds are great, sure, but he's also kind of a nightmare person, and growing up immersed in the Buduga's particular version of might makes right means it can take a lot of work to make him see how something could be a problem. This is compounded by the fact that he will generally chase whatever impulse sounds most enjoyable in the moment unless he thinks the consequences would be too severe for other people (he is, generally, distressingly unconcerned with consequences for himself) and even then only other people he actually likes.

Baavgai is less of a gloryhound than people familiar with the Buduga expect, preferring to fade into the background, but that is not to say that he does not chase glory. He just doesn't do so unless he feels it will directly benefit him outside of giving him accolades.

He is completely and utterly obsessed with everyone's favorite Arcanist construct, the Carbuncle. He has three Carbuncles out wandering at any given time, though he has the ability to summon up to five at once (he doesn't often do so, as it drains him very quickly). His Carbuncles are named Mokin ("clay", the first he created and a little misshapen due to that, hence the name), Gegejen ("dawn/daylight", a topaz carbuncle), Ebesun ("grass", an emerald carbuncle), Qargi ("rapids", a ruby carbuncle), and Kimur (a fermented milk beverage, a moonstone carbuncle). All five are a little weirdly shaped compared to basic carbuncles, and all but Mokin are like that deliberately.
