Backstory

GQ was created years ago by an Elven court Jester who multiclassed as a Bard & Wizard. They were a loyal supporter of their highness and loved making jokes and bringing joy to those around them. They created GQ as an attempt to help protect their highness from danger. In the court there was a royal who was never quite pleased with the jester and eventually created a plan to get rid of them, ending in the jester's death.

GQ, in a wave of emotion, broke past their initial purpose and made a new purpose for themselves. They left the kingdom to become stronger and avenge their creator, becoming a Paladin of Mischief in honor of them.

The Animated Armor

Animated Armors are full sets of armor that can move and speak on their own. Magic ensures that they can see, hear, speak, & touch just as a human can. Their armor acts as their skin, any damage upon the plating acts as damange towards them. Fortunately, gaps in the armor are empty space and cause no harm when attacked, only attacks upon the armor cause damage. To hide the fact they are armor, they will use various types of clothing to cover gaps.

Multiclassing (Paladin / Artificer)

GQ's history led to them becoming a Paladin, but overtime they have decided to lean a bit into becoming an Artificer for a few benefits to aid them.

Oath of Mischief

After their creator died, they defied their purpose and became a Paladin to honor their death.

Tenets of Mischief: Fight Perfection, No Mercy for the Humorless, Mischief By Any Means Necessary, Restitution.

[ Level 3 ] Channel Divinity: Control Undead (Action)

As an action, the paladin targets one undead creature he or she can see within 30 feet of him or her. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target must obey the paladin’s commands for the next 24 hours, or until the paladin uses this Channel Divinity option again. An undead whose challenge rating is equal to or greater than the paladin’s level is immune to this effect.

[ Level 3 ] Channel Divinity: Rebuke the Violent (Reaction)

Rebuke the Violent. You can use your Channel Divinity to rebuke those who use violence. Immediately after an attacker within 30 feet of you deals damage with an attack against a creature other than you, you can use your reaction to force the attacker to make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the attacker takes force damage equal to the damage it just dealt. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage.

[ Level 7 ] Aura of Mischief (Reaction)

As a reaction may impose any one of the penalties to an enemy within 10 feet. A penalty to an attack roll made by an enemy, or a penalty to a contested ability check made by an enemy. The penalty is equal to the paladin's charisma modifier. At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

[ Level 15 ] Purity of Heart (Effect)

You are always under the effects of a protection from evil and good spell. Neither good or evil can stop you from spreading mischief.

[ Level 20 ] Ultimate Joke (???)

At 20th level nothing special occurs... (DM Discretion)
At 20th level you can choose 3 spells of 5th level or lower from any spell list and add them to your list of automatically prepared spells, these do not count against your total for prepared spells (you cannot choose a cantrip). Additionally, when you cast any of them they use a 5th level spell slot but are cast at 9th level (if applicable).
