Cleodyn

C leo was born on Hakolo Island and grew up around monster riders. Her first monster was a Royal Ludroth which grew up along side her. She first started riding at age 8 and started fishing with her Ludroth to contribute to the village. Cleo frequently searched for nice shells and materials to make her riding gear pretty, and to trade with other people.

When she was 19, Cleo and her Royal Ludroth named Poëo encountered a Nergigante far off the island. Her Ludroth sacrificed itself to throw Cleodyn into the ocean, but did not survive the brutal attack. She drifted on the current of the waves, going in and out of consiousness. A young lone Lagiacrus found her nearly drowning and carried her on its back to shore. That was her first meeting with her future friend, Dipali.

Cleo remembered flashes of the monster upon waking up on the beach and determined to find and thank the monster for its kindness, set out to search for it. Her fellow islanders didn't believe a monster would save a human it's not imprinted on, calling her a fool for her stubornness. Fate would have them reunited however, for it was her time to help the Lagiacrus.

In a fight for its territory the Lagiacrus got injured, and needed care in order not to succomb to its injuries. When Cleo went back to the beach it left her at, she found the beached Lagiacrus wheezing on its side and rushed to return to the village. She traded some favors and got enough stuff to provide some measure of care to the beast, who began to trust her over the few weeks it took to heal. Their relationship grew and eventually it allowed her to gear it up and swim around with it. Their bond of friendship remained since.
