Much like the detectives of the mystery novels they are so fond of, Lorelai is an extremely insightful individual, always taking their circumstances into account with an inflection most deep and thoughtful. Their words are thusly measured and calculative, nothing ever wasted when extracted from their lips. To Lorelai, the idea of extraneous conversation is an improbability: everything said with meaning, and meaning beneath everything said. As such, their demeanour is often pegged as eloquent and articulate by those around them; to others, perhaps this steadfastness may instead be seen as stuffiness. Whatever thoughts their peers have matters not: everyone is deserving of an opinion, and their role is not that of a judge.

      Due to their mature disposition, Lorelai can also be seen as dependable and dedicated. They take every job assigned to them very seriously—perhaps comically so at times—and perform every duty with utmost care and precision. Depending on what profession they take up, the root of this drive comes from a genuine love of it, even if their demeanour belies little of that affection.

      Lorelai is unfortunately quite lacking when it comes to serving as a conversational partner. Their priviness to privacy is a double-edged sword: so true are they to preserve an air of mystery (and, more importantly, secrets) that those around them perceive them often to be cold. This perception of attitude is exacerbated by how stern Lorelai is. Their perfectionism knows no bounds beyond social hierarchy. The annoying thing about Lorelai isn't that they'll nitpick when a job isn't done right; it's that they'll point out your errors and then proceed to somehow perform said task to the standard of perfection they'd outlined for you. Some people would say that this trait is admirable. Most, however, would just call it "an annoying pain in the ass" [sic].

      Not many people could give you much of an answer as to who Lorelai is, as they make it difficult to pin their character at first glance. Any questions about their origins are met with vague answers at best, and a turning of the cheek at worst. As stated before, their perfectionistic tendencies leave much room to be desired in terms of an actual person standing in their shadow. Regardless of this, it could be said that their overly-critical attitude drives more people away than brings them in. Additionally, their cautiousness makes it difficult for many people to truly connect to them. To those who haven't known them for a long time, it's almost as if they're an archetype made to fill a role instead of a living, breathing human …

      And yet, hilariously enough, those who are familiar with Lorelai are met with the inverse of this issue. Once you push past that hardy exterior of theirs, you come face to face with someone who is quite possibly the most reckless individual you'll ever meet. It's not that they do things without foresight—it's just that they don't seem to care about the consequences of power-walking into the off-limits section of an off-limits forestline simply to satiate their curiosity. Or scaling the side of a building to say hi to a stray cat. Or learning to operate a boat solely so they could accomplish a benign task. Or— Well, you get the idea.
