Profile

Physical/image description:

Fanatic is a 5 foot 2 androgynous white thing in his mid-twenties. He has a middle part with bangs that frame the sides of his face, with fluffy hair of slightly longer length behind his head. His hair is brown, except for the bottom half of the back part of his hair, which is dyed an unnaturally bright blue as if he had dipped his hair in blue paint. He has dull grey-blue eyes, and blue glasses with blue-tinted lenses that make his pupils appear brighter.

He's wearing an oversized dark blue shirt with a bright blue splatter coming from the bottom viewer-left. Below that, he has an ankle-length pleated skirt, also in blue, with two light blue stripes running across the bottom rim. On his viewer-left hand, he has two bracelets: one a bright purple and the other a bright cyan. He has platform boots that add 6 inches to his height; dark blue with light blue splatters on them, as if he had stomped on something.

Fanatic is intended to be an Akudama Drive OC, and this copy of his backstory reflects him as such. TBQH though I just like doing whatever with him, so you could take out all the AD-specific parts of him and just have his parents be really weird about trains if you wanted. I think he still mostly works.

The self-proclaimed "King of Fun"; the Fanatic was once a simple child born to Japanophile immigrant parents in Kansai. Their family had very little, but he loved his parents very much. His parents, in turn, loved him...and the Shinkansen. They worshipped the holy vessel to Kanto like it was their God, and lavished it in love equal to, if not greater than, the love they gave their child. The young Fanatic grew up in quiet awe of his parent's dedication to their worship, until the fateful day that his parents were struck down in front of his eyes.

Something snapped in place for him that day. Something about true love and admiration, about dedication and grit. He went quiet...and then started sobbing. He was passed between other Shinkansen worshipers, at the very least out of courtesy, but most grew tired of dealing with him; a manic child, that just kept crying, for years and years. Eventually, the distaste his parent's comrades had for him had him thrown out as a teenager. He didn't mind; he could surely take care of himself. There, he witnessed it.

His first idol concert.

The energy...the lights...the music...and at the center of it all, the idol herself. Shining and bright and full of energy, it was like she was speaking to his very soul. He finally "grew up" in the crowds of underground idol shows, and through that he understood. He understood everything.

It was only natural that the Fanatic started getting a little more enthusiastic in the crowd. A little less careful, a little more forceful. Eventually, he started hitting hard enough for it to bruise. Eventually, he started hitting hard enough for bone to crack. A sacrifice, in the face of his idols. As his parents had sacrificed. A sacrifice for true dedication. For true love.

And he would continue to sacrifice, for however long he could.
