Ophelia is a pokemon trainer who runs her own small scale farm. She finds solace in turning her old hobby into something productive, and mostly enjoys her time in the new world. Most of the time, she tries not to think too much about the before times and what she's lost being trapped in crystal for thousands of years. Ophelia is incredibly grateful to her pokemon companions, and she spoils them like crazy when she can.

Ophelia is incredibly wary of strangers, humans and pokemon alike. She has been awake in this new world for less than a year, and was lucky enough to obtain a piece of land for herself without too much hassle.

The Old World

Before the end of the world as she knew it, Ophelia was working a part time job at a family owned book store. Along side that, she was nearing the end of her time in college. Although she had no real plans for after college, she was eager to be graduating in the next couple of years. She lived in the city with her parents, and kept a small garden on their balcony.

Ophelia's family was small, but loving of one another. She had a small close knit friend group as well, which worked well for her since she was never fond of meeting new people. Always a home body, she often didn't leave her house much except for work, college, and errands. Usually her parents were kind enough to host her friends at their house. There was never much of a reason for her to go outside of her comfort zone, and she was very happy.

Her eyesight declined rapidly in her late teens, hindering her ability to see things at a distance. In this life, it caused little struggle for her since she could get her hands on glasses readily.

Current Life

Ophelia awoke to a world that was unfamiliar to her, her glasses missing, and no recollection of what had occured. Fearful, she fled from the Crystal Caverns as soon as she could with only the things given to her and what she'd happened to have on her. In the first week of awakening, she could barely remember her own life. She wandered, her saving grace being her existing knowledge of edible plants and pocket snacks she had available to her.

As she traveled further away, there were less people and pokemon, but the ones she encountered were much more aggressive. Unable to see at a distance, she quickly became fearful of the slightest shiver of a bush, or broken branch. Eventually, she stumbled across a wounded pokemon. Ophelia couldn't remember if she'd ever had a pokemon of her own, but she felt her heart twist at the wounded critters plight. Using her minimal supplies, she nursed the odd little creature back to health. Once she was healed up, Hibiscus became Ophelia's most loyal companion.

Not long after, the two stumbled across an old abandoned cabin, with remnants of a personal garden. In this moment, Ophelia finally began to remember snippets of her old life. The realization of what she lost crushed her, and she decided she didn't have it in her to go anywhere else. Taking residence in the cabin, she began to fix it up with her limited knowledge to live in. In time, she began to grow her own plants and food.

Months after arriving at her new home, a stray Riolu began lurking around. Fearful at first, Ophelia kept her distance and threw things when it got too close. The longer the little guy hung around however, the more curious she got of him. Eventually, she let him close enough and he communicated that he was lonely, and she seemed kind. Ophelia accepted Cooper into her little family, and in turn he helps her navigate new places with less fear. He's also incredibly helpful for sensing if anyone is near by, and what their intentions may be.

She grows most of her own food, and hunts what she needs to. Every month, she'll travel to a trading outpost to barter for supplies. Her main hobbies are crafting teas, and functional leatherwork.
