Saffron is a seventeen year old witch. She has shoulder length brown hair.  She is part feline, and has ears, claws, and a tail like that of a cat.

 He has a small scar on his under-eye. The scar is shown with stitches from the beginning of season one, and is fully healed by season two in the show. They got it from a scrap they had with another student at Hexide, resulting in them getting suspended for a long time. 

Their parents were taken by Belos, for refusing to join a coven. As a result of not having any guidance, they tend to come off rude, lack responsibility, and respect.

 Since they've been on their own they've made a life for themselves. The cat lives alone, independently in a treehouse-like structure in the woods. Saf typically prefers to be alone, because a lot of people look down upon them for being a thief. Being a thief has become normal to them, and they have low empathy when it comes to leaving others without. This causes them to have trouble maintaining relationships, and leads people to believe they are untrustworthy.

Saf eventually meets their best friends, Octarus, (Jotaro/sharkpony's OC) and Markl. (Kakky/Doombyy's OC) 

She meets Octarus first, hungry, she watches them until they aren't tending to their food, and she goes in to take something. As Saffron bolts off, Octarus calls to her to say she can 'just have one if she likes.' Saf, and Octy immediately get along and bond over their shared experiences of being misunderstood by other witches/society as a whole. 

They both eventually meet Markl after Octarus learns it's been missing a bit longer than usual. After a little convincing, they get Saffron to accompany them on the search for him. Markl is found first by Octarus and is later introduced to Saffron. Markl, and Saffron are skeptical of each other at first, but then realize they aren't so different after all, and share a lot of common interests, and experiences.
