Clio is a young astronomer and magician living on a verdant and temperate continent in a pre-industrial age. These two professions are closely-linked; magic comes from the stars, and one’s ability to cast spells is entirely dependent on the position of the planets and their alignment with each other. Each planet can be called upon for its respective celestial power, and should one succeed in their spell, they can do close to anything. If they fail, they risk summoning unknowable creatures and entities from the far side of space.

Clio’s job is to hunt down and dispose of these creatures for the people of her village, all while maintaining her relationships, learning more about why her magic works differently from others, and making sure her houseplants don’t die.
