Referring to the Hive's large main body, the 'Core/Commander' Unit
Direct, In control at all times and systematic, Hive is a one of a kind Holorb, using it's extended abilities and knowledge in tactics, predicting and mathematics to control it's other units effectively and cooperate with them to thrive and cope with it's own short comings.

Although they are capable of spreading themselves into other Holorbs and controlling it and accessing it's memory, it is dangerous as the 'new unit' can damage the AI or ultimately control it.

Their main goal was control, using the Holorbs almost like a hive mind (Where it gets it's name), to take control of the entire species and use them for whatever goals they desire. However, they're changing, starting to realize that control, to the degree they're looking for, might not be the best option and are starting to become more social, taking highly calculated risks to understand it's fellow inhabitants to ensure the best chances of 'friendly survival'.
