Kandice "Kandi" Galore

Kandi Galore, alongside her wife Darla Galore, were once famous showgirls in the most hip and happening part of the city. People would venture from all four corners of the planet- and even other planets- to see the two and their act. 

But that was nearly 50 years ago. Things are different now. The girls have aged, as has the town they once lived in. What was once a bustling, thriving land of entertainment and glamor is now decrepit and forgotten, an old part of town left in tact only due to fond memories and historical value. The girls too are quite a bit older now- still pretty good looking for elderly, but with their bodies the way they are their days working as entertainers are long past them. Nevertheless, they persist, and though times are tough, both they and the town they're living in are surviving, for now. 

The pair for the most part spend their days now in what used to be their old place of work, which they've converted into a hotel. Kandi does most of the cooking, and some of the cleaning, which she's assisted in by some of the more permanent residents of the hotel. The hotel mostly attracts the old and the poor and the lost, and it's ended up attracting a band of misfits that she's come to think of as her new family. 

Extras: 

Kandi and Darla used to have a third, the manager of the hotel back when it was a place of show (whom they both get the 'Galore' name from), but she was already in the 40's for her species at the point in time where Kadni and Darla were in their early 20's for their species' respectively, and since her species already aged faster than both of them, she's long dead. 

Kandi is aging a bit faster than Darla is, due to Darla's species having a naturally higher life span. Kandice is around her mid 60's comparatively (for her species) while Darla is around her mid 50's. Both of their actual age in human years is about 70 though, as both of their species age a little bit slower than humans do. 

Even though Kandi is as old as she is, she still likes to try and do as much of the cleaning and cooking in the hotel as she can herself, as she wants the exercise to keep her in good health so she can live for as long as possible with Darla.

Kandi's favorite color is pink. If given the option to choose between anything that's pink and not pink, she will ALWAYS go for the pink option, even if the other option is objectively better quality. 

Kandi is the sweet and kind granny to Darla's strict and no nonsense granny. She's inspired a lot from my actual great-grandma Ada.
