Darlene "Darla" Galore

Darla Galore is married to Kandi Galore. A long time ago, the two of them were famous showgirls in the massively popular entertainment district part of town. The two of them were once so famous that they attracted visitors from all parts of the planet, and even some from off planet to their show. 

But 50 years have gone and past and things are different now. The two girls have aged, their third, the manager of their place of show, has long died, and the town they used to work in has gone to seed, most people having moved on to the newer high rises and more technologically advanced districts of the place. Being far too old to work in the show business proper, and having inherited their old place of work from their manager, the two decided to spend the money they earned from their showgirl years converting the old place into a hotel so they could keep the building, and their lives, functioning for as long as possible. 

Darla took up the manger position up from their old third, and runs the front desk of the hotel as well as the finances and the like. The hotel is an old place, a bit grimy and quite old, but it's livable and it's very cheap so the two of them still see a decent amount of business. But mostly their place has become the permanent home to a lot of lost souls that Darla has begrudgingly begun to accept as part of their new family.

Kandi and Darla used to have a third, the manager of the hotel back when it was a place of show (whom they both get the 'Galore' name from), but she was already in the 40's for her species at the point in time where Kadni and Darla were in their early 20's for their species' respectively, and since her species already aged faster than both of them, she's long dead. 

Kandi is aging a bit faster than Darla is, due to Darla's species having a naturally higher life span. Kandice is around her mid 60's comparatively (for her species) while Darla is around her mid 50's. Both of their actual age in human years is about 70 though, as both of their species age a little bit slower than humans do. 

Darla is a habitual chain smoker. Though this originally started off much like most smoking habits do, as time went by Darla continues to smoke despite Kandi's protests that she should stop. Subconsciously this is probably due to Darla's desire to shorten her own lifespan so she can die at around the same time Kandi is eventually going to.

The curly cue blushes on her cheeks aren't natural. She paints them on so they look a bit more like Shoe's natural cheek markings, to make him feel a bit less like an unknown.  

Darla is the strict and no-nonsense granny to Kandi's sweet and kind granny, although she becomes easily flustered and her cool exterior breaks when Kandi starts acting sweet to her. She's inspired a lot by my Korean aunts on my mom's side. Which means yes, she has the obligatory ajumma visor. Most koreans will know what i'm talking about.
