In a different dimension...
Striker lives in an apocalyptic world that suffers from nuclear fallout. Radiation sickness is widespread, and has caused mutations in the human population. These mutations can be positive and/or negative, but can quickly grow out of hand regardless if one doesn't take precautions. Striker has been positively mutated in a minor way, with her strength and speed increasing. However, she is incredibly cautious, and rarely takes off her gear in fear that the mutations will worsen. As such, despite her tall and intimidating stature, she is hardly the most dangerous thing out there. But...she is incredibly stubborn, and refuses to die, even in the most dire of situations.
Trivia
- This character is a very old one that I've had since I was about 12 or 13.
- In this recent recharacterization, her inspiration is from Resident Evil and Cyberpunk.
- Her true name is Harlowe E. Collings. She has dog tags hidden somewhere with this name on them.
- She was misgendered a lot when she first became Striker, and she does not care to correct. So he/him is fine to use along with she/her. It helps keep her identity hidden.

demeanor
Striker is a solitary person, any friendliness drying up in wake of the apocalypse. As such, she acts curt and dry when she interacts with others, her manners having rusted up along the way. She can work with others and has done so when picking up jobs, but she prefers working alone to prevent headaches. At least, that's what she claims. She's also generally a rough person and she can get especially violent if anyone attempts to steal her things.

Facial features
She has defined features, with a strong jaw and a straight nose. Her eyebrows are arched and thick. Her lower eyelashes are a bit long, and she has somewhat heavy lids. She has two scars that intersect with her right eye, as well as a scar on the left side of her jaw. There is one mole on her face, which is beneath her left eye. Her lips aren't thin, but they aren't particularly full either. Her laugh lines are very faint.
Tattoos
She has a geometric, pattern-like tattoo along her upper back that somewhat goes up her neck. You'll rarely see all of it, especially with her suit. But if she strips to her tank top, you might see the triangular shapes going up her neck.
Piercings
She used to have ear piercings, but they healed up long ago. With the need to be covered up at all times now, she doesn't see the point in getting them re-pierced or getting any new ones.
Wardrobe
She does not have a big wardrobe at all. She wears her suit. Underneath, she has a tank top and shorts. She has a few more tank top and shorts in her travel gear. But that's it. She lives as a wastelander in a nuclear apocalypse, she doesn't get a lot of options here.
Design notes
- Her actual eye has scratches on it too. As such, she cannot see out of it. However, it does seem that it can sense light and can still move.
- In Mirstone, she has a mohawk (which can fall to either side). In his original/DTV form, his head is completely shaved.
- The part of the necklace that is visible has a dog tag on it, hidden under her shirt.
- Her knife and gun and have real world counterparts! They are the SOG Seal Knife 2000 and the Browning Hi-Power Mark III, so these can be referenced when drawing her weapons.
Story
Story
The Navy
Striker was once a normal girl that aspired to help her family. Born to parents who worked hard but had little opportunity and struggled financially, she hoped to help them and give back. As such, as soon as she turned 18, she joined the military, specifically the Navy.
As a female-presenting person, she had to claw her way into the Navy. Overlooked and looked down on, she had to work twice as hard as her male peers. But she was an ambitious person, too stubborn to know when to stop. So she aimed for the top, for a group that, at the time, would not accept her-- the Navy SEALs. Women were not allowed to become SEALs, but she pushed at the boundaries, fighting to rise above her ranks. She trained and studied religiously, living frugally to send money back to her family as she did.
Then, on December 3rd, 2015, the ban on women joining the SEALs was officially lifted. Elated, she threw herself into training. As she already pressed on the boundaries, she was ahead of anyone else interested and worked hard to pry her way in. And after 3 grueling years, she officially became the first female Navy SEAL at age 25.
While her family congratulated her, they worried. She was going to actively be in danger now, placed in dangerous situations. Little did they know, danger was coming to them.
The Apocalypse
She had two deployments. She worked as a part of a team, did exceptional work, and was able to have some time to visit her family. Unluckily, or perhaps luckily, the end of the world happened while she was on her home turf.
There was nothing that could be done to prepare for nuclear warfare. Only to pick a god and pray…and pray, she did, for her family.
Somehow, she managed to survive, among others. At first, she tried to band together with others, making a small unit and trying to keep a community alive. However, that made them a big target, and although she had been a SEAL, the others were not. There was only so much she could do on her own. Not to mention, her military ways could be found as abrasive, and those who rejoiced in no longer having a government did not trust her.
Eventually, she found it best to try to strike it on her own and try to find her family, if they survived. Any trace of them…
Now, only 4 years after becoming a SEAL, he is a very different person. His ambitions are no longer as grandiose and his ability to work with others has degraded. He’s only known as Striker, a man who speaks little but gets work done. His origins are as unknown as his face.
Beacon
When Beacon came to Earth-111, they expected for the people to be dead. Not for a man in tactical gear to press a gun to the back of one of their heads, demanding lowly to know who they are and how they got there. He had seen them come out of a portal and was not about to just let them go.
After the contacting team de-escalated, Striker came to learn about Beacon. Although now a lone-wolf, he was intrigued to hear about another version of Earth where nuclear fallout did not occur. Maybe his family…existed there? Maybe they still lived? However, the deal was sealed for him when mention of a wish was made.
Maybe, finally, he would know what happened to his family.
